hi everyone (intro!)

Hi there all!! I am 43 and expecting baby #2!! I read through a few posts here and was happy to see some moms my age and up! I feel so old on my BMB!!

A little history, I had my first child at 41 after 3 IUIs and 2 IVFs. We finally got pregnant on IVF 2 after putting in 5 embryos (we put 3 in for the first failed IVF). Once I got my period back, we met with our RE again to discuss the potential of trying for another one. He said that I would have to completely wean Sami before he'd even test me. He also said that he thought we were really lucky to get pregnant with her in the first place. Based on that, I decided I wasn't willing to wean her for a very slight chance of getting pregnant again so we decided against treatments and thought we'd just try on our own.

Miracle of all miracles, I got a BFP on 12/29/2014!! Betas looked good so now we're just waiting for our viability u/s next Wednesday. Hoping that everything looks good!

Welcome and congrats! I had fertility issues before both of my kids. Not to the extent of procedure to get pregnant but lost of ovulation stimulation and injections and meds and things. (I have PCOS). I never went back on BCP because I never got pregnant easily and I clearly knew when to have sex and when not to have sex and here I am.. 19 weeks with our surprise baby! All natural on our own. It's crazy how we can go through so much and then suddenly our bodies just work.
