Cloth Diapering

Recommendations for daycare diapers?

I'm looking to add a few more diapers to my daycare stash for my 3 month old. They need to be aplix for simplicity purposes. What would you ladies recommend? So far I have 6 kawaii pure and naturals and 2 totsbots easy fits. How many more should I add to my stash? My MIL who has an in home daycare does daycare for DS, he is the only one that is cloth diapered that she watches. She just found out each diaper has to be labeled with his name. I dont want to ruin my softbums diapers by writing on the outside tag- so those are out of the stash now. The others I listed above have laundry tags on the inside I have been writing on. Way to ruin resale value. Ugh.

Re: Recommendations for daycare diapers?

  • This isn't what you asked, but you can get name tags that you can write on, launder, and still remove later.

Wait, what?! How does this work and where would I buy such a product?

Well okay then. Thanks for the insight.  8-|
  • Wow, really? Didn't realize I was your own personal Google. If you're gonna roll your eyes at me, do it dramatically at least.

  • Sorry that I asked a question on a cloth diapering board and just asked you to elaborate on a product you told me about that I've never heard of that intrigues me. I've always gotten positive feedback here and you ladies have been incredibly helpful when I've posted on this board in the past. I am just a little bit put off by the unecessary snark, that's all.
  • @supertinkerham Thanks, that's super helpful!
  • Oops, sorry. Please see my badge in my siggy. I DO have a disclaimer.

I don't want to suggest a brand as I haven't used them myself. I just know they exist.

  • Didn't really know what to google since I wasn't clear on how the product worked. Now that I know how they work it makes more sense. I understand not wanting to recommend a product you've never used.
  • 'Name labels for cloth diapers'?

Also, I find smashing my hands on a keyboard usually has good results.

    It all revolves around you.
  • I'm probably just being over sensitive here as it's been my first week back at work and I'm sleep deprived and having a hard time being away from my DS, but I am super bummed that a place I've turned to for advice multiple times in the past and gotten great advice from (both of you included in that) is making me feel like I shouldn't burden you with a simple question. Sorry for bothering you.
  • If you don't want people to be snarky to you, maybe don't give someone undeserved attitude and rudeness on their home board? This is especially true after they've taken the time to help you.

  • Alright, I'm not going to argue who was rude or snarky first. I'm over it.

Seriously though... Any recommendations for my original question; easy diapers for daycare providers?
  • Our daycare stash is mostly Totsbots Easyfit v4 and Thirsties OS pockets.
  • I really like Thirsties hook and loop. It's very strong. I have both their pockets and new one size AIOs and I like them both.
  • I'm loving our Thirsties one size All-in-Ones, only tricky thing is that the tongue is microfiber on the bottom, which could cause problems if your daycare accidentally lets it fold over against your
    LOs bum.
Any pocket diaper could be a good option.

You can probably find name label tags at your local sewing store.  They're pretty common for kids going to camp or sports.
  • I've been thinking about some thirsties. I'm glad to hear good feedback from you guys using them. @Kelly11235‌ that's a great suggestion! Being that this is my first I honestly had never heard of laundry tags until mentioned in this thread and it would be nice to get them faster than have to wait for shipping. Much appreciated advice!
  • We have a mix of pockets and aio.
