Re: What do you do for stress relief?

  • Take a trip to LUSH, spend too much, go home and draw a hot bath and use all my new goodies.

    Or clean.
  • Loading the player...
  • Take a nice, warm bath. Cry it out. Listen to Christian music.

Wine used to be the answer. Now, I just burrow in lots of blankets on the couch, put on some good tv, eat popcorn, and paint my finger nails.

Silly time with my nephews always uplifts the mood.

Also, yoga. But at this point it feels more like delivery prep than stress relief.

    Edit: punctuation is hard
  • Gym and a massage. Rinse, repeat.

  • I usually like to take a long hot bath, bake some goodies and watch tv/movie. That or if it is real bad doing target practice in my backyard.
  • Long hot bath with DH in our soaking tub.  Assuming, of course, that he's not the reason I'm stressed :)  Otherwise, reading and, if it's really bad, I take it out on the bathroom with some cleaner and a good scrubbing sponge.

  • Depends, if I've had a rough day at work I talk to God on my way home from work. I actually do this probably almost everyday. Mornings are usually for talking to the baby. I know I'm the weirdo talking to myself in the car, I started talking to the baby on my 8 hour flight the other day. I was feeling stressed after not being able to get up to go pee, I cried.

If I'm at home I tend to clean/organize the house and watch friends. Since I'm not running right I sometimes go for walks but its a little too cold for my liking.

  • It used to be shoot guns and go off road. Now I have a kid and can't do whatever I want when I want so I deal and eventually calm down.

I do crafts, get a hug from DH, take a hot shower, eat something yummy, snuggle with my kitties, and imagine punching people in the face... not necessarily in that order.

  • Wine...man I miss wine.  two sips is just not the same as two glasses...ya know?

Snuggle kitties, watch mindless tv, crawl under covers and cry.

Most stress can be resolved by venting to DH...unless he's the source of the stress, lol

  • I think that I am going to do mother/daughter pedicures at home tonight. She loves putting on my good smelling lotion and sparkly polish. I might just do the same!

  • Depending on stress level...
    1. Find house projects that must be done, that very instant.
    2. Snuggle my dogs
    3. Watch Netflix, especially the Office ( I just love Jim and Pam)
    4. Go to the gym
    5. Bake. A lot. And then force said baked goods upon friends and family.

  • @specialsn0wflake I love Lush so much! The closest location to me is 3 hours away. I'm ashamed to admit I've made a few day trips to the shop... Just when I'm too impatient for online ordering ;-)

  • Netflix binges, icecream, long showers, snuggle with my husband or my dogs, shopping or cleaning if it's the right sort of stress, get my husband to give me a shoulder/neck massage, sleep... all of those things sound amazing right now! I'm not stressed, but I do feel pretty low today. These solutions will work ;)

Cuddle with my dog, watch tv, cook or bake something, drink tea while reading a book. Can't wait till I can relax and unwind with a margarita though.

  • A good movie, ice cream or a long warm shower is all I got right now . I feel so limited. .pfft
  • If I'm really stressed out, I lay in my bed and cuddle with my puppy or my husband. Those two make everything go away in a second.
  • If I need to de stress after work , I play either Bon Jovi , Miranda lambert , journey, Aerosmith, Ozzie osbourne, or the frozen soundtrack on and sing my lungs out, I think bub is gonna hate me singing so much when he's born !!! But it's what I do, car karaoke !!
Ok, I pretty much do that all the time when I want to relax , kitchen karaoke is my fave when cooking or cleaning ... Lol !
  • Bake brownies then eat them all.. while you are taking a bath and binge watching netflix.. Yes you can do all at the same time ;)
  • Exercise and snuggle with my pups. I would love a prenatal massage though.
