OMG!!! So scary!! I didn't see the actual seizure but saw the post-dictal phase. She was so limp and her eyes were shifted to the left and wouldn't focus. Obviously called 911 but it was terrible...I felt useless. She wouldn't respond to anything. So off to the hospital we went. Has anyone had any experience with these? The pedi explained everything today at her follow up appt but it doesn't make me feel any better...thanks for reading

My son had one last Friday. I will always be nervous now when my son has a fever. I was worried he would have another seizure all last weekend because his fever didn't go away until Sunday. His fever got up to 105 at one point. We called the EMTS a second time at that point. On Monday he got a rash all over his torso that went away yesterday. I determined that he had roseola. I completely understand everything you feel. It was one of the scariest moments of my life.

ETA: I was holding my son in my arms when it happened. It felt like the seizure lasted forever. It took about 30 seconds to realize it was a seizure.

  • My daughter had them for the first month of her life and it turns out a brain tumor was causing it. I know how scary they can be. Pm if you have any questions about seizures bc unfortunately I have a lot of experience with them. Glad your little ones are okay now! I'm so scared Leila will have one from a fever bc I will freak!
