Exercise

So I'm trying to get back into an exercise routine. Prior to DS2 I was working with a personal trainer 3X's a week. Now with two in daycare we just can't swing it. Does anyone have any videos they would recommend? Free Mommy & Baby ones would be the best, but I'll take any recommendations!

Re: Exercise

  • There are tons of exercise videos on YouTube that you can look up.

I use DVDs that I've bought in the past... Jillian Michaels, P90x, Taebo, etc.

  • Do you some version of on demand through your cable? There are usually free exercise videos on there.

DH is doing Insanity as a new years resolution. We both used to do it before I got pregnant, its intense but it works and only uses body weight. Then again I tried and failed at just doing the warm up with him the other day. Good grief am I out of shape! Dd enjoyed watching me though so that's a good sign at least.

  • I love Body Pump but can't really make it to the gym anymore. Beachbody sells a home body pump set. I find this to be the best all around toning workout that I've tried. It's a little expensive but it was worth it for me. Beach Body has lots of other good programs so worth taking a look at their website. I also got Brazilian Butt Lift from them before pregnancy.

Jillian Michaels 30 day shred is 9.99 on Amazon.

As @vrj0522‌ mentions, there are you tube videos for free. I've also found that there is a lot of free stuff through social media. For example JillkFitness on Instagram who posts exercises.

Lastly, I haven't tried it but NBC has a new program called Radius. They air it on their sports channel every morning on cable (I forget the name). I have DVRd these before and watched one of the episodes which looked really good.

That all being said, I have only been able to get the occasional workout when the husband is home.

  • Anything JM does is golden. That is all.

Her Body Revolution is normally like $150. It was on sale yesterday for like $79. Dunno if it still is or not.

One of my friends owns a gym and is a personal trainer. She does on-line training and meal plans and her prices are very affordable. If you want to check her out this is her website https://shaynafrasco.com. There are free instructional videos on there. She's also on FB and youtube.

If anyone lives near Port Saint Lucie, FL she does Mommy and Me classes, toddler classes and also offers day care.  I wish she never moved all the way to FL so I could enjoy some of her classes!
