Sounds like it might be acid reflux.
  • Sounds like thrush. I had it in college when I was super sick and stressed out in my last semester. My toungue was yellow-green and everything tasted funny.
You will need to see a Dr. for meds to take care of it. It's not a big deal. It just happens when your body's chemistry is thrown out of wack. Best of luck!

  • Definitely sounds like text-book symptoms of thrush. Go see your doctor before it gets any worse or travels down your esophagus. It's easy to treat now.

  • I read it somewhere this can be due to constipation or dehydration ? How do I know it's thrush or something else .. I am planning to visit my GP for this but want to get some information before hand..
  • Hey! I have the same kind of coating and bitterness in my mouth every few hours....
you are probably right...it is because of constipation and dehydration...

There are a few things I do and trust me it helps!

    1. try and keep sipping water throughout the day
    2. brush my teeth and clean my tongue with a tongue cleaner whenever possible
    3. eat a bite or two of something so that the I forget the bitterness for a while
    4. long lasting - chew a sugarfree gum that keeps my mouth fresh
  • Hi everyone
    Visited my GP finally
According to her its mild and not to be worried about..
1)she has asked me to change my toothpaste (go for one with no preservative )
2)use nystatin mouthwash for 3-4 days
3)avoid food that can cause acid reflux..
She thinks it's due to acid reflux or bad oral health in my 1st trimester( crazy throwing up and eating in the middle of the night)

Hoping to get rid of this problem soon ..
Thankyou all the beautiful ladies here for the prompt and helpful replies
