Had a regular appointment with my midwife today. Heartbeat was in the 140's and fundal height measuring just about right at 31cm for 32 weeks. Weight is up about 26lbs so far, and nothing to indicate this LO will be nearly as large as my first that ended up a c-section. Still on track for a VBAC attempt at this point! Also, the nurse who gave me the Tdap immunization was awesome, didn't even feel it.
Hope everyone else has good appointments this week as well!
Had regular OB visit today, go to high risk on Wed. Measuring 30 weeks for 31, up a total of about 21-22 pounds, doc said weight gain should slow down at this point, it's only a 4 pound gain since last appointment, not bad considering all the holiday food I ate. Get to schedule RCS at next appointment, have to get high risk to specify date they are ok with surgery, especially since I turn 39 weeks on a Saturday; plus I'm in grad school and if they wait till Monday after 39 weeks I will be starting a new class instead of ending one, not good idea since I will have work due on Wed. I can't wait to meet my little girl, 8 weeks and counting!
Having a last minute appointment today. I've had hives since Friday and I can no longer take the intense itching! Hoping for some relief today! Hope everyone's appointments go well and those sweet babies are doing great!
So I am sitting at my drs now getting my GTT done. This drink makes me feel like shit, ew. Tomorrow I go back to the specialist to have another level 2 sonogram to check on my little girls feet. Still debating on if I should do the downs test, kinda freaking out about the possibility of that. X_X
@jess412love Good luck on your GTT. If it would help you to feel more prepared and not worry then it might be worth testing for downs, but I suppose it would depend how invasive it was and if you were comfortable with the test itself. Thinking of you and your little girl. Hugs.
Had my 30 week routine appt today. My OB moved into her new office yesterday, so it was neat to see all the changes and extra space. They got a new sonogram machine today, and the company's tech was there showing the girls how to use it, so she asked DH and I if we'd be interested in a free ultrasound so they could practice. We said sure! We even got to see some 4D pics - which was SO cool since we didn't have one of those done otherwise. He's 3.5 lbs and measuring a few days ahead of my due date.
We were planning on going to the L&D ward afterward for our tour, but they were full so we will have to try next time.
Had my 32 week check up and follow up ultrasound. Baby boy is almost 4 lbs and adorable. He was opening and closing his mouth, which was the cutest thing ever! He's right on track where he should be and the cp cyst is gone! Heartbeat was 147.
Just switched insurance to kaiser- I went in on Friday and they were pushing this class I had to take before I made an appt with an ob. I explained I was high risk so they set up a nurse visit today- which I was kinda frustrated about because I need to see an OB! Anyway, went today to start my chart with them, blood work, etc and I have an appt next week with a high risk OB. definitely appreciating the promptness of kaiser- I was concerned I was going to have to jump through hoops! Oh and I might not even have to take the class yay!
Had my 28week appointment yesterday baby looks good measuring 29 so a week ahead ... I start seeing my ob every 2 weeks now tomorrow I have an appointment for a growth ultrasound to see how baby girl is growing because a month ago the dr felt her that her head was measuring small so fingers crossed she's looking awesome and measuring normal
So I had my high risk appointment today 31 weeks 4 days and she weighs 4.4 pounds measuring ahead at 32 weeks, got the release from high risk so no more appointments with them, they also ok c section to be Feb 27th at 38 weeks 6 days makes me excited since this is my third and first 2 are March and she won't be also I end one class March 1st and start another March 2nd so hopefully I will be home by then.
Just had my 32 week appt today. Measuring at 31 weeks, hb in the 140s. Baby is transverse (I thought she might be), but they aren't worried about it at all at this point.
I had a hard time going to this appt because of everything that's happened on our board this week. I'm really feeling for Suzee and I just couldn't stop thinking about what she has gone through.
Had my 29 week appointment this afternoon. Blood pressure was good and some how managed to lose a pound over the holidays. Baby Girl had a good, strong heart rate, my belly is measuring right at 29 weeks and Dr said she is head down so I'm hopping she will stay that way till delivery. I had my 3rd trimester bloodwork drawn. I was going to get my TDap today as well but my Dr's office was out so hopefully I can get it at my next appointment. Dr said my sugar levels were great and medication is working great. The dr told me that with such a small dose of medication, he predicts a good outcome for the rest of the pregnancy so that made me feel good. More than likely they will not up my medication and I hopefully won't have to go on insulin. I will start my nonstress tests twice a week at 32 weeks. I also got the date for my next ultrasound which will be January 28th and I'm excited! I haven't seen her since my anatomy scan at 20 weeks. I go back at I'm 2 weeks and twice a week there after.
Had an ultrasound Monday at 28w 4d to check my placenta previa they found at 18w. Just got the Dr's email that it is no longer covering my cervix! That means I am no longer on pelvic rest and I can have a vaginal delivery.
Plus I got some more pictures of our peanut! Woo hoo for me!
Had my high risk appointment today which included an ultrasound, next one is in 5 weeks with this doctor final US to check on measurements.
Also had my regular OB appointment for 32 weeks on Monday and the next one for him is in two weeks. It will be an NST, then after that it'll be every 3-4 days for fetal monitoring. Not too sure what that means other than I have to hang around why they gather information from the baby and if she doesn't give up the deets in an hour they transfer me to the hospital. Also scheduled my c-section, so she'll be arriving 2.25.15 and my husband's birthday is two days later. He's excited! Hopefully between her and the Amiibo's I ordered him he'll have a good birthday :P
Oswin came in at an estimaged 4lbs 1oz, healthy and cramped. Still stubborn and a little camera shy but did get a couple of good images after some poking and inadvertent coughing (thanks Flu). Also, she's head down! Pretty certain I felt her get there this past week -.-
It's coming up so fast! 7 weeks from today she'll be here, *fingers crossed* she waits the full amount of time.
At my last OB appointment they said my fundal measurement was small. I went this morning for a growth u/s. They said LO looks good but is measuring a week behind overall. Her abdominal area is almost 2 weeks behind, so they decided to do a non-stress test today. Right now they have me scheduled for weekly NSTs but after the Dr reviews today's results they will determine if I can go weekly or if I need to go bi-weekly. I go back in 3 weeks for another growth u/s.
At my 28-week OB appointment yesterday I learned that my hemoglobin is low. I got an rx for iron, but I'll probably start choosing beef more often as well.
Other than that everything seems normal, and apparently so are all of the strange fluids coming out of me.
Had my 32 week appointment today. Very uneventful, head down hb good, he is getting lower which is good since he is always so high. I go for my ultrasound next week to check on my fluid levels. I didn't gain anymore weight which is good since I was gaining way to much the last little while. I have been more stressed lately with all you m15 moms who keep getting hurt... So just stop getting hurt.:)
Had my check up today, everything looks great and baby's heartbeat sounds great too. I have to go do my glucose test next week (boo!) which is less than exciting but it's only one hour so I can't complain because some ladies here have had to do 2 and 3 hour ones!
Then my next appointment is at the end of the month for my 32 week ultrasound!
Had a checkup today at 29 weeks. Baby is head down, same as last time, HB good, kicking up a storm. I gained 10 pounds in 5 weeks. My dr didn't seem too concerned, but I asked about it since it was the biggest jump in weight so far. She just said to curb sweets and bad carbs, the usual. But she wasn't even gonna say anything to me if I didn't ask about it. I am hoping to keep the weight down, but I gained like 50 lbs with DS, and so far, at 29 weeks, I'm up 24 lbs total. She also said that baby/belly are measuring right on track. So the weight thing is more of a personal issue. I know it's early, but I hope baby stays head down. My son was head down and stayed that way for many weeks at the end of my first pregnancy. So hopefully this LO stays there as well.
Went in for my monthly growth scan (GD) and LO is measuring a week and a half ahead I'm currently 30w4d. She's four pounds and has a full head of hair yay.
Is the shadow hair? DH and I were trying to figure that out yesterday on ours lol
Had my monthly growth scan today, as well as my bi-weekly appt with my OB.
Baby J is looking great. He's a little small, but with GD that's better than big! He's in the 25th percentile and has gained about a pound since my last u/s. I'm hoping that as I get my own weight loss stabilized he will do just the right amount of growing. We tried to get a good picture of his face, but he was apparently using my placenta as a pillow and would just smoosh his face into it whenever the scan got near. It was pretty cute to watch, though.
GD stuff has been looking good and my OB is really happy with me. I was barely spilling any ketones! Yay! She says we might not even have to do NST's if I can keep controlling things this well. And I'm on track for a vaginal delivery, which makes me ecstatic. They were out of Tdap vaccines, so I'll have to get it next visit along with my GBS test.
My 36 week growth scan should be the last one I need if things keep going well. It was a HUGE relief to know I haven't done damage by having GD, and while I hate the necessity for extra scans it's still wonderful to see my little prawn all snuggled up in there.
Next week will be another adventure with the GD nurse, lol!

We had our first birthing class last night. It was... interesting. I spent 2.5 hours going "Oh. Good. Great. So, that sounds awful..." to every new detail revealed, but I must admit, having some information does help my anxiety a bit.
I also had two chiropractic appointments this week. Little Eli keeps kicking my ribs out of place. Boy. am I ever grateful for my insurance coverage and this new chiropractor. She's so nice, and it has helped so much already.
32 week appointment today. Total weight gain is about 20 pounds, bp is good, heart rate is 135.
I am measuring a about 2 weeks ahead so I am going in next Friday for an ultrasound to check growth and fluid!
Of course it makes me nervous because of our 20 week scare with the double bubble, so today when she referenced extra fluid it made me scared. I am really hoping it has to do with the fact that I am only 4'9" and she is kinda squished in there...and not that something is wrong.
Perinatologist appt today. Only one more left. Babies are both head down, face down. There is now a 12% difference in size. Baby boy is 3 pounds 7oz (measuring big for a singleton and really big for a twin). Baby B is measuring 3 pounds even (right on track for a single, a little big for a twin).
Had an appointment this morning. Little man's heart beat was strong at 155. Dr said he is starting to measure a hair big.... We will see what that means at my growth scan in 2 weeks. DD was 10.1 lbs, so I'm hoping this little guy is at least a bit smaller than that!

Not an OB appointment, but I had my annual appointment at work for a checkup and TB test to get clearance for certain lab areas. Everything was fine except I failed the breathing test required for a respirator... little man is cramping my lungs! So now I can't wear a respirator for the next 2 months, which is not a big deal since I've been avoiding those areas for a while anyways just to be safe. But it felt strangely satisfying to see medical proof that I'm getting all squeezed up in there!
I had my 32 week checkup on Wednesday, and while it was odd, all is good!
Among the odd parts:
Nurse took my blood pressure, says she'll take it again, gives me the numbers (something like 124 over 78) and asks "is this normal for you?". I say that I think it has been normal through my pregnancy, but the numbers don't really mean a lot to me since I don't know where they come from or what they mean, so they don't stick with me like weight does. I'm kind of nervous, since I know that high bp is a sign of pre-e, and I had high bp last month (but I was also late due to traffic, later due to the couple in front of me making all their appointments while I waited to check in, and even later due to being sent to the lab). She goes on to explain that 150 / 90 would be bad, and my blood pressure is completely fine (and I assume normal). So just all around weirdness with taking my blood pressure, when everything is fine.
My doctor came in and commented on how well I was doing at controlling my weight. I guess that's a surprise? I'm not skinny, but I carry all my weight in muscles - my PCP has been clear not to worry about my weight, since when I slim down, I loose muscle and hurt my knee. Anyways, yay for healthy range of weight gain.
I got a special slip to take to the front desk verifying that I'm healthy and can stick to their normal guidelines for appointments (return at 34 weeks, and then weekly from 36 weeks until delivery). Weird bureaucracy, but again, yay for being healthy.
For some reason, there seemed to be all around surprise that I'm healthy and doing well. I have no clue why, but it's a whole lot better than complications.
Glad to hear everyone's progress and FX to those awaiting test results. Just had my 29 wk appt this evening. Everything's looking good, heartbeat was strong & loud. Had the glucose challenge screening. I hope my lifelong addiction to chocolate and sweets built up an impressive tolerance...
Just had 31 week exam and ultrasound. Little guy is right at 60th percentile, and almost 4 lbs.
Doc did see a little ventricle enlargement, which means the hydrocephalus (buildup of brain fluid) is probably starting. No big shock, since > 90% of kids with little guy's kind of spina bifida end up getting it. So another surgery is almost definitely in the cards-sometimes they can do it at/near the same time as the sac surgery, right after birth.
All in all, I'm glad the hydrocephalus is showing up prenatally. I'd rather have some extra days in the NICU after birth instead of taking him home for a while and have to come back.
