Chronic endometritis anyone?

I got a call from my RE this afternoon to discuss the results of my endometrial biopsy in December.  The results finally came back and showed "significant chronic endometrisis".  I had no idea what that meant until he explained but basically I have this non-symptomatic infection in my endometrium that can be treated with a course of antibiotics.  The RE only did the biopsy because he was "already in there" for my SIS and had read this paper recently.  He figured it was worth a shot since we have no real answers for our RPL.  The plan is to wait until AF shows up (should be soon because it's 12DPO with BFFN) and then start a 7 day course of antibiotics.  That *should* kill the infection and leave me with a healthy endometrium.  I was wondering if anyone else has ever tested positive for chronic endometritis?  Or know anyone who has?  And did your/their doctor think it impacted fertility?  I'm happy to maybe have an answer but my head is spinning right now!  TIA!

    So crazy! I never heard of it, but I am seriously crossing everything that this will do the trick for you!!

    I responded on TTCAL but this is what my doc thought I have!  Remember he put me on 4 weeks of antibiotics before my FET?  My biopsy results turned out negative, but many practices are now giving all women doxy before IVF/FETs to rule out any infections before you start.  Obviously I have other issues but I can tell you that it cleared up my horrible acne I've been battling since my miscarriage in 2013.  

    This could seriously be it for you ellebelle!!!!!!!!!  The endometritus makes your UTE a very unfavorable place for embies.  Doxy can make some people really sick but I was religious about taking it with a proper meal and I was never sick!

    Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!

    Oh!  I just read you will only be on antibiotics for 7 days, I was on for 4 weeks!

    @Frenchteachermama - 4 weeks??  My stomach would hate me so much!  Thanks for the tip about taking it with meals, I will definitely make sure to do that!  My RE did say I can't take it right before bed because if I lie down after taking it, it could erode the lining of my esophagus if I had any reflux.  Yikes!  I am looking forward to my acne clearing up though haha. ;)

    I don't have any insight, but I'm so excited for you that you may have stumbled upon an answer! Fx it does the trick! And now I'm wondering if I should ask for antibiotics before we get to our FET after pgs....thanks for the info!

    Edit: Because I'm a moron and just remembered they're standard with ET. It's early.

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    I had pre-IVF doxycycline, and it really made me sick but starving at the same time. Both my husband and I took it, and we would eat and eat but I felt nauseous the whole time. I did 10 days.

    I really hope this fixes the problem! :)

    i've bene on doxy twice now and it makes me RAVENOUS. but not sick to my stomach. no one told me about eroding my esophagus!!!  :-??
