Hi ladies, I'm a long term lurker since July and had a huge gush of fluid tonight that brought me to the ER hoping it was just pee. It turned out that I had ruptured and am now hospitalized trying to keep Owen in as long as possible on bed rest with meds. I thought since I'd be here awhile (hopefully), I could intro and start participating a bit more.
I'm 30, FTM, and between jobs as a doctor (definitely not OB, know really minimal things about OB). I was actually moving to a new state for a new job close to family and ruptured halfway across the country from both my parents on one side of it and my husband in the other. Luckily he's coming to be with me in the morning.
I've always appreciated all conversations on here and have learned so much from you ladies. I look forward to contributing more with you!
UPDATE
Owen and I are still hanging in there after a magnesium infusion over the day, steroids, and antibiotics. I'm happy to report that he's still in there! My husband made it to us in record time despite the snow.
We're doing the waiting game now to see if contractions come back or anything else happens that would lead to labor like infection. There's a small chance we might be able to fly back home prior to delivery if all stays quiet in the next couple of days so fingers crossed!
Thank you guys so much for all of the kind words! It made my first day of bed rest so much sweeter!
