I don't recall seeing anyone on here with a Timothy for a DS. It's such a nice name I think but we already have a DS name picked out so we probably wouldn't use it (unless a boy comes out and doesn't fit the name we picked).
Anyway, just an observation. Carry on.
Re: ne1 use the name Timothy anymore?
I don't know any baby/kid Timothys anymore!
That was the name I would have had if I'd been a boy.
we have seriously considered it, but that is because we are dorks and want to name a son Tim Duncan Lastname after our favorite basketball player
I would like to see it continue its slide in popularity, though...#100 is still a bit high for my tastes!
DS - December 2006
DD - December 2008
I probably wouldn't use "Timmy" either mostly because I grew up with a Timmy in school and he's who I think of. Either him, or the character from South Park!
I do like Timothy, or even Tim. I'd rather call him Tiny Tim than Timmy.
You crack me up!
Glad I could give you a laugh this morning
It is only KIND OF a joke...we got married on St. Croix because that is where Timmy D is from. Being Timmy D fans is the biggest thing our families and friends have in common - I went to Wake and my DH is from San Antonio. It was great fun at the wedding when we got to watch a Spurs game at a bar right on the waterfront and EVERYONE was a Spurs fan in the middle of the Caribbean.
Another name we thought would be funny is Jack Bristow - after our favorite character from Alias. Like I said...dorks!

Hey, I can respect that. We're Demon Deacons in this house. Tim Duncan is like a cherished member of the family! :-) Is that why you got married in St. Croix? Dumb question, but curious!
My DH is named Timothy. He doesn't really like it and has always gone by a nickname (Ty). No chance of a Timothy Jr., that's for sure!
Edit: Nevermind the question about why you got married in St. Croix. I didn't read the response right above mine. I am lame. Sorry. LOL
I answered your one question above - we didn't go out of our way, but we wanted a US territory in the Carribean, zeroed in on the USVI...and the Tim Duncan thing just kind of sealed the deal for which island.
Did you and DH both go to Wake? When did you graduate?
No, my DH adopted Wake when he moved to Winston Salem after college. I inherited them when I got married. :-) DS, however, will be raised the right way. We took him to a game last week and the whole time he shouted, "Come on, Deacs! Make a free-frow!"
sooo cute! My DD loves it when I sing the fight song. She also can be coaxed into screaming "GO DEACS!" from time to time.
Sadly, her daddy is brainwashing her into being a Texas Longhorns fan, and resistance is futile since we are planning to move to Austin hopefully next year. She and her daddy watch the games together, and I hear them yelling "Hook Em Horns" and "Go Colt McCoy" together.
But, there is always Timmy and the Spurs
