Haven't posted in a while

It has been a while since I have been able to get on and post. I have missed everyone. Update here-

Elise and Olivia were born Aug 19, 2014 at 3:20 and 3:22 pm at 33w6d via non-emergent, emergency c-section. I call it that b/c no one was in serious (at least I like to think that) danger but my BP had been elevated for over a week and they found proteins in my urine. They decided to take the girls out and worry about my health. We had no complications. The girls spent 11 days in the NICU. I was told that was amazing for how early they were born. They called them my little hard-core fighter babies. The doctor would tell us at night what development they would need to progress towards going home, and the next day it would happen. There is so much more emotion than what I can type for this portion of the journey--suffice it to say the NICU staff was amazing and M really stepped up and became the mom I knew she would be!

Fast forward to today. The girls are 4 (almost 5...eeeekkkk) months old. They are smiling. Olivia loves to squeal and try to chat while Elise is more reserved. They have discovered their smile which beyond melts my heart every single time! They have started to notice one another, and I cherish those moments as well. I will attach a few pictures so I can share them with you.

I have just started back to work so I will actually have a little time to log on and post/read. Hope to stay in touch more.
