SS - I think so, but I'm not sure. She hasn't been weighed since her 4 month appointment. Born at 6lbs 4oz and was 12lbs 3oz at 4 months. I think (and hope) that she's put on more than 5oz in the past month!
Nope. 7.9lbs at birth and 13.2lbs @ 4 month check up, but finally gaining so we are headed in the right direction!
I was told birth weight should double by 4 months, but to keep in mind every baby is different and as long as they are gaining and growing that is what matters most
Nope. We're in the small baby club. 6lbs 7oz at birth and 10lbs 6oz at 4 months. It has been about 3 weeks since her appt so she's probably like 11ish now.
Oh hellz yes. She doubled before her four month appt. Hulk.
Us too! He was 7 lbs 15 oz at birth and was already 16 lbs by his 3 month weigh in. Close to 17.5 lbs at his 4 month but he is pretty long, 26.5 inches at 4 months.
It's crazy how big some of your LOs are! My babe is just 13 lbs and change. She was 7 lb 7 oz at birth. I wonder if there's a difference in FF vs BF babies? If I would make it (formula or BM), DD would probably eat it haha.
ETA- in case that didn't come out right, I'm not implying any of us are intentionally fattening our babies. Just that if my DD was always given bottles she would easily eat 5+ oz but my boobs only seem to give her around 4 at a time.

I've wondered the same thing. And I didn't take your statement to be accusatory.
Nope. 8 lbs 3 oz at birth, 14 lbs 10.5 oz at a weight check Monday night (but he's dropping percentiles and we've been referred to a GI specialist to figure out what's going on).
8lbs even at birth, 19lbs now. He's a chunk. Well not really, he's 27 inches long too.
Ours was 27-some long too... and he's a chubby little guy but he's not 19#. Wow!
He's growing fast and furious lol in 9 month clothes already. He Gained a pound a week for like the first 5 weeks of his life. His legs are a little chubby, but he's just a big kid. H's family is big... Like, literally big boned and tall. At 4 month shots a week ago where he was 4.5 months he was over 97% for height and 85-90 for weight and his head is like 95% too.
Oh, we are in 9mo clothes too, just 17ish #. H is 6'6 and a big dude so I hear ya there. We were 99% length, 75% weight, 75% head. It's been the same %s all along.
She was 6.10 at birth and was 13 at her 4 month appointment a month ago, so I'm sure she's surpassed 13.4 by this point.
I'm being featured in a new pregnancy/motherhood blog during the month of October, so if you ever wanted to know more about my pregnancy, birth, and motherhood experiences than anyone ever should, check out my posts in the link below!
Not even close. DD was 9 pounds 8 ounces at birth and 12 pounds 15 ounces at her 4 month appointment yesterday. She has some reflux, but our pedi isn't too concerned. I EBF, for what it's worth.
Considering that LO went down to 6lbs6oz, (from 7lbs 4oz at birth) she's close- about 13lbs now. She just turned 5 months this week. EBF babies do typically gain more slowly, esp once they hit the 4 mo mark.

This makes me feel better. LO was 9lbs 10oz at birth and 13lbs 11oz at 4 months. Not even close to doubling. Her pedi is not concerned at all. He just says she is long and skinny. I don't know why she was so big at birth but she seems to be thinning out. I EBF also, but I know I have great supply and she gets bottles at daycare and is offered as much as she wants. It's interesting though - I mean just because she was born in the 90th percentile doesn't mean she always has to stay there right?
Re: Has LO doubled birth weight?
He was 8lbs 1oz at birth and is now 15lbs 9oz.

It's a girl! Baby Anna was born August 3, 2014!
6lb 3oz at birth, 11lb, 15oz at 4 months. She is now a week+ over 5 months, so I am guessing she gained 7oz in that time...

All I know is, she's growing out of clothes way too fast! Thank goodness for an older daughter with a wardrobe to hand down.

Also he's FF. And he will over eat if we let him! Always hungry lol
@dvmmomma totally understand what you are saying!! It'd be interesting to find see.

He went from the 10% at 2 weeks to the 77% at 4 months. Curious what 6 months brings. He's been wearing 9-18 month clothes.
