Girls, I need help! MH's grandmother is in the hospital with a stomach bug. She's doing well, all things considered, but her recovery may take a while. The family is pulling together to take care of Papaw bc he has had a lot of heart issues lately and needs to be checked in daily. I am in charge of putting together some meals and snacks, but they need to be low-calorie, sugar-free, and low cholesterol. I don't even know where to start looking to find recipes that fit all these requirements. Any suggestions?
Re: Sugar-free, Low Sodium Meals
The veggies you would want to limit would be potatoes, corn, carrots, and peas. So stick to green veggies like asparagus, broccoli, greens, etc.
Does that help? You could look at Cooking Light for recipes, look for low carb. And I know @mapleme can help with this.
