Sigh of relief

I got in with a new dr and had my first ultrasound yesterday. At 5 wks 1 day we saw a viable pregnancy. The dr was great, very positive and encouraging. He helped me feel more calm and I'm doing much better now that my emotions have settled. Thanks for the support.

Now that I'm starting to get attached to this little bean I find myself all excited about getting small diapers, but I know it's too early and I should wait until I get through first tri. With my history I know there is still no guarantee. Still, it's nice to be getting excited instead of just freaking out. :)

    My new dr says we will wait until nearing the end of the pregnancy to see if we think I'm a candidate for VBAC. Fingers crossed!

    lol..all this time I thought "Pact grads" was a thread about ladies who tricked their partners into having another child when the partner didn't want to.
    Like "Pregnancy Pact" to get pregnant as quickly as possible.

    Start researching vbac early if possible. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it! My dr told me I had less than a 60% chance the first time and I did great. Second vbac was even easier! PM me any questions that you have! :)

    I have a lot to learn because I really know nothing about it at this point other than I'd like to try if I can. My dr was actually the one who brought it up so that was very encouraging.

    The vbac board on the bump is kind of slow but it'll give you some encouragement. Also to have the best chance at it I suggest staying active as much as possible, ask your Dr about taking evening primrose oil towards the end of pregnancy, and don't get induced! Some people will tell you that you have to go natural to vbac successfully but I'm a wimp and had an epidural with both of mine

    I have a 1 yr old so I think I'm going to be active whether I like it or not! LOL. My dr said he will not induce after a previous c section. So either I will go on my own or we will schedule a c section. I'm really glad I have a lot of time to research because it's all scary to me after what happened last time. With my daughter I was induced, the epi didn't work, I tried to push after being in pain all day and she was stuck. So I had an emergency c section and had to have a blood transfusion afterwards because I lost too much blood and my bp tanked. This is one of the reasons I wasn't going to have another baby, it was such a horrible experience. I so hope everything can be different this time.
