DH got held at work :(

I hate winter. I really wanted Starbucks this morning and I know he won't stop in his uniform. ?I'm grateful for the overtime, though.

    Don't you hate that they can't buy stuff in uniform? I always forget and ask him to pick something up on the way home.

    I wouldn't care at all if I saw a cop picking up a gallon of milk, but I know that people can be really rude about it. ?

    Really?? They can't buy stuff in uniform?  Maybe it's a state-by-state thing, because I was just in line behind a NY state trooper at the Mobil gas station convenience mart. :-)  He was buying a 20-oz fruit punch - LOL.

    Beta, I think they CAN, but people can be really nasty about it. ?People forget that they need to eat, too :) ?If DH needs a drink he'll stop, or if he is working a day shift, he'll go get lunch, but he doesn't like to do anything but the necessary.

    He just brought me a coffee on his way home, though!!! ?Starbucks doesn't have a drive-thru, but he went to a local place that does :) ? Extra points for DH today.

    I'm not sure what DH's department rules are. He can buy stuff while on duty - they go out to eat, coffee, he buys the paper Sunday morning if he's working, etc. But his personal rule is that he doesn't buy personal things - stuff for the house, groceries, etc.

    Gotcha - interesting.  Well your hubbies sound like they are doing what's reasonable.  And I'm glad you got your coffee capemom!

    We only laugh at the ones we see in our bakery...and they laugh with us.  We live in a small town and everyone knows all the cops.  I wouldn't think twice if I saw one in the grocery store or anywhere else for that matter.
