Repainting crib v. buying new

We are wanting to do a different color crib with baby #2. If you've repainted a crib in the past, how long did it take, how much did it cost and do you think it was worth it? Our crib has seen better days (our first LO bit it quite a bit) and I've been going back and forth on just buying a new one since if we repaint the old crib, then the conversion kit and toddler rail won't match either. Thanks for the input ladies!

What if baby teethes on painted crib? Any risks? Just a thought

They sell a baby-safe paint set. I actually bought a new crib a few hours ago- One less thing to stress about before baby gets here anyway! Thanks for your reply @fuss444

Painting a crib sounds like a ton of work. I would be afraid of baby chipping it. Safe or not safe, finding paint chips in my baby's mouth would scare the hell out of me.
