Baby store sales

Does anyone know when some of the major baby stores do their big sales during the year? I would like to wait to get some of the bigger items during a sale, but need to plan!

Also, FYI for anyone wanting to buy some baby clothes, Hanna Andersson has their big 60% off sale today. We don't know the sex yet but they have an unconditional return guarantee so I bought some girl and boy things and will return when we know what we're having at the end of the month.

Kohl's is having a sale this week for 20% off and includes maternity clothes. You can google for a printable coupon for in-store. Or online the code is HEYBABY20. There is also a code good until tomorrow for an additional 15% under $100 or 20% for over $100.

I would recommend following one of the "deal" websites. Slickdeals and dealnews are a couple of my favorites. You have to research the prices so that you know when a sale is REALLY a good one!

This is my kind of talk. Now is a good time of year so I wouldn't pass up a deal if you find it. Target just had a second mark down on some baby stuff, you just have to browse a bit to find some of the gear (pack n' plays, strollers, rock n' plays, etc. and not care much about brand). I wish I remembered better with DS about bigger gear... I kind of want to say it is closer to now with end of year closeouts still going on because I do remember feeling as though I missed out as I was shopping for that stuff mostly in late spring/summer (he was born in fall).

Clothing-wise I know better. The past couple weeks through the next month or so is good clearance time to buy ahead, especially expensive stuff like the snowsuit if you need one. You always run the risk of sizes not working out, but it always worked out well for me. January, June, and mid/late October-ish tend to be the best time for clothes clearance.

@bossybluejay I've been buying for both, too, because I can't resist some stuff. So thrilled to be within the 60/30 return policy window! DH will just be happy when I return half of it...

I'm hoping ours will be a board where people share good sale info!

Thanks for the tip! I had a gift card to Kohl's and I wasn't sure when I was ever going to use it, I just did and got the car seat we wanted for about $48 after gift card, score!

I had never heard of Janie & Jack until I was waiting for a flight out of Denver over the weekend and was killing time in the Cherry Creek Mall. I was DYING over the clothing there. Baby boat shoes, trench coats, and fair isle sweaters?! So adorable. But, we don't have one where I live and so I couldn't even get anything with the thought of returning it if I needed to

Not sure if this is specific to just Canada, but Babies R Us is having their baby fest sale on right now. We just arrived home from there, but there seems to be some pretty good deals to be had. Hope this helps!

I stopped by babies r us today to update my registry... It was a mad house but gotta say they had some great stroller deal.... Too bad we already got ours

If u stop by babies r us they have a online coupon right now for free dr brown Valentine's Day bottles with any $15 purchase

Although, I did just place an order on some little Vera Bradley clothes! Most of the baby stuff is something like 75% off with an additional 20%.

Not sure, but they mailed us a 20% off coupon and we have $10 in rewards from buying our nieces' Christmas gifts!

Kohls is still doing the baby sale which can be combined with 15% for purchase over $100 and they are doing Kohl's cash $10 for every $50 you spend. Good on all baby items and maternity clothes.

Those are the two codes. I posted about the sale last week, but it did not include the kohls cash. I just researched the Britax car seat for the BOB stroller and it came down to $136.94 and in addition $20 kohl's cash. That is not a bad price without. I have been seeing it for $160-$190.

You can also get some free stuff online, just pay shipping. I typed in free baby stuff on pinterest and got coupon codes for boppys belly bands baby leggings and nursing pads oooh and a really cute nursing cover!

@Kiki119 Dr Browns has the same kind of promo at Babies R Us for every major holiday, including Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Christmas, etc. I love it because we love Dr. Brown's bottles and I have built quite a collection of free holiday bottles from DD.

I bought 2 set of Dr. Brown start kit (10 bottles total) wondering if that's too many??? but we will be bring bottles daily to the day care.. sooo I don't know how many is enough

We hit up Babies 'R Us over the weekend and got the Graco Modes Click Connect Travel System on sale for about $70 off. Also, found a nursery set we liked and got it online with a coupon for $600 vs. about $900 in the store.
