I don't know any IRL..,only TV shows and books. It is on my short list. It was 219 on the SSA list (and 230 for the spelling Zander) for 2013.
Let's not forget it's usually a nickname for Alexander (which is where it's from - it wasn't used as a stand alone name before the 1990s) which was 8 on the SAA list last year.
One of my friends' son is named Xander. It's a nice name.. he's the only one I know. It reminds me of the movie triple X... I think that's Vin Diesel's characters name :P

I only know of one. My best friend from high school named her baby that but i think its an awesome name. You n your baby gotta live with it forever so as long as you like it n you feel like your baby is a xander go for it!
Also include Alexander in SS searches. DS is Alexander, nn Xander. (Every Alex I met before DS was born was female - now I have a friend with a grown son Alex. Alexander was close to the only name DH and I could agree on.)
I did hear some from DH's side over Christmas - we would have gotten some serious side-eyeing if Xander had been his legal name.

Eta I do have to correct people on spelling though. They often spell it zander...which didn't even cross my mind when choosing.

My DS's middle name is Alexander and my DH calls him Xander. I'm not super crazy about the name. Sounds like a name I'd hear on Star Trek.
I had no idea it was gaining popularity. I honestly thought DH made it up. Ha!
