Dreams/Signs/Coincidences!?

So a week before my period was due I had a dream of getting a ultrasound and there were TWINS! I also had a dream milk was coming out of my boobs. Lol
These two dreams along with a couple small symptoms are what made me test 9dpo and I got a positive!
I'm now 6 weeks and have been hiding it from my parents (as this is their life long dream)... Lol lets just say my mom has been planning my baby shower for years. Besides all that I haven't mentioned ANYTHING to her about trying etc

So I'm waiting until 8 weeks to tell her to be safe, I get a ultrasound on the 16th and her bday is on the 20th

I figured that Woolf be her birthday gift.

Guess what she texts me today?

"Are you late for your period? I got this really funny feeling and could smell a baby scent last night laying in bed"
WHAT?!
I was dumbfounded! I played it cool and said I just finished my period...

Does anyone believe in this stuff? Signs etc? I find it so crazy and coincidental. But not??

I think it's only important if you believe in it

That being said, perhaps you have been acting off so your mom suspects something's up? Pregnancy has been known to cause crazy dreams so perhaps that contributed to your dreams.

I'll also add that last time I was pregnant (ended up being a chemical) my step son put his hand on my belly in church and said baby in there?? He's 6. And that's what made me test that time!! ++
I think if your mind is open to the signs you will get them. I've had dreams of other people being pregnant and been right.. Twice actually so I think it's just a strong intuition of some sort?

With my first, I knew she was a girl from the pee stick. I dreamed about girls and I just knew. Plus my Chinese gender chart was correct. This time, no clue. My chart this time says boy but your guess is as good as mine at this point. DD says sister. But she is also 2.5 lol. But how knows?!
I do believe in premonitions. I will be interested to see how your journey plays out.

A friend on ours said she knew I was pregnant the last time because I smelled like roses (that pregnancy ended in an early miscarriage), but didn't smell anything this time.

As far as dreams go, I did have several really vivid strange dreams where I woke up like WTF? along with a BFP dream in the few days before we tested.

So strange but I had a couple dreams about being pregnant also! And I am 4 weeks pregnant.

It could just be a random dream bc I wanted to be pregnant so bad. lol

I don't tell my family until a couple weeks in either. With my first, my sister texted me the day after I found out with "are you pregnant?" Umm. I lied.

I swear. The day after I found out this time she did the exact.same.thing. I lied again, lol.

Yes!! I definitely do! My mom's friend had a dream she has breast cancer. It happened several nights in a row. She went to the doctor and they didn't find anything. He asked what made her come in and she told him about the dreams. He ordered more mammograms and turns out, she was very early in her cancer. She is so lucky they caught it early.
As for me, before I knew I was prego, I had a dream that I was walking in the woods, under the moonlight, in a long white nightgown. I got to a river and there was baby stuff/toys floating in it... found out I was pregnant with little jelly bean 2 days later!

And not that they're signs of anything, but I have had some bizarre, crazy dreams every night. I wake around 3-4am every morning because of it. I don't like it.

This is unpregnancy related but my boss died last May, he killed himself while in the process of going through a divorce. So his wife took over the business. She's not that friendly so I hardly know her and rarely talk to her. But the Monday after thanksgiving she actually came to the office to handle some paper work with me. I remembered I had a dream of my boss the night before.. He was telling me to compliment her, tell her her hair looks good and that her perfume smelled good... I thought it was funny so I told her like ..as a joke, kinda?
We'll, she started balling her eyes out and told me it was her birthday.

I'll never forget it.

With DS, the night before my AS, I had a dream that I was having the baby early and since we didn't have a name picked out the hospital named him Jerome (funny because it is definitely NMS). The next day I found out I was having a boy.

A few nights ago, I dreamt that I had a baby girl. It's a 50-50 shot but I know if I end up with a girl, I'll always tell the story of how "I dreamed this would happen!"

I read somewhere that the dreams just get weirder. I have weird dreams anyway so this should be fun. I had a BFP dream the night before I tested... I wasn't even planning on testing for a few days and then I had the dream and then it was real and I'm so just excited I can't even see straight!

The last time I was pregnant, both my mom and my co-worker had dreams about me a week before I found out and asked me if I was. Then I turned out to be! That one ended in MC, but still very crazy coincidence since they both asked within days of each other. A couple of weeks afterwards, I got a random call from my dad (him and I don't speak very often, and I hadn't told him about the pregnancy or MC). SO unlike him, and the first time he has ever said anything like this - he said he got a message from his mom (who passed when I was 2) that she was watching over me, that it was all going to be ok, and to ask me about the baby. Gave me chills for sure!

This time around, I had dreams about twins and delivering babies a couple of weeks before I found out. I dreamt I had twin boys. Now that would be a big surprise!!! lol

I had a really weird dream last night: I had the baby and it was like 4 months old and it said it's first sentence "I want a cupcake". So I gave it one. The next day when I was holding it, the baby held up some random object that I can't remember now and said "this just came out of my butt" then I woke up. LOL?

2 nights ago I had a dream that LO was the baby of the drummer from five finger death punch lol. I was like wtf? Then about 5 days before I got my bfp I had a dream I had a csection. Then last night I had the csection dream again only I woke up just before the sex was revealed.

Aw man!!! I haven't had any pregnancy dreams since those two before my bfp. I really want too though lol. With my chemical I had a couple dreams of holding a baby and one driving with a baby in a car seat.

I remember having crazy, vivid dreams with DS. I don't think any of them ever amounted to anything.

I did dream the other night that this pregnancy ended in a mc. It certainly freaked me out enough I called my OB and got blood work yesterday. I go back tomorrow for a second draw. I keep reminding myself, it was just a dream and that doesn't mean it's going to happen.

The second day of our honeymoon our butler said he had a dream about us that we had twins. It was super random. After we told my MIL we were pregnant she told us she had a dream a few nights prior that we had twins a boy and a girl. I told her to stop dreaming about me lol. She also had a dream that my brother-in-law had twin boys and he did so I'm concerned!

with my miscarriage, the night before it started I dreamed I was going to lose the baby. (and that it was a boy.) also, hubby says I dreamed I was pregnant before I tested (I don't remember it tho). I didn't have any baby dreams between the bfp and the miscarriage, which seemed like a bad sign to me. this time I have had a couple, altho I'm not sleeping well so I don't remember my dreams most nights. no dreams or intuition about the gender yet, but I have a weird feeling it might be twins. (which I did NOT feel last time.)

I don't believe in fortune cookies, for me they always sound most hopeful right before absolutely nothing happens

During my FW last month, I found a lucky penny. I left it in my car's cup holder. I think it was our good luck charm.

Also, there has been a ladybug in our bathroom for weeks. It just hangs out on the wall. I'm taking this as a sign that we're having a girl. I really need to tell DH to take it outside so it doesn't die.

@jms627, I've also had a dream that I was bleeding and saw clots. I hope we are both wrong and just having PgAL brain!

I had the whole "metallic taste" thing from about 4dpo to 12dpo and somewhere in the middle of that I had a dream that an old Mercury thermometer had broken in my mouth. I instantly tasted the "Mercury" in my mouth and woke up. I fell back asleep and had the same dream again within minutes. I had been temping, so I think that had something to do with it, but that dream was one of the most vivid I had early on so it definitely made me wonder.
