DD Funny - Had to share

Hope this makes someone laugh.  DD has not been going to sleep well for several days and I have been hoping it was a growth spurt or teeth or anything but sickness.  This morning she woke up with a cough and congestion.  Dang it.  Anyway, she has sounded croupy so I am going to sleep in her room to keep an ear on her breathing.  However, mama wants a glass of wine and a minute to decompress first.  She has not napped today and still was up too late and not wanting to go to sleep.  DH does all bedtime stuff, but when she is sick, she wants me.  Yay?  Anyway, I got her in her crib finally after meds, steam shower and rocking and sang to her a couple times.  She was good and settled in so I told her that mommy had to go brush her teeth and wash her face and get her jammies on and that I would then come back and sleep in her room.  I told her to close her eyes and I would be back soon.  Here is our conversation after that:

DD:  You get nakey?  

Me: Well, yes, I will get nakey and then put on my jammies.  

DD:  Ok, you go get nakey, I cose my eyes.  (then turned her head to the side and closed them)

I just thought this was hilarious but maybe it's a "it's only funny because it's my kid thing". 

She was out like a light in 5 minutes so now I can take my sweet time getting back. Go team.

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.  

We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

    That's adorable. My DD isn't talking in sentences yet, but I'm anxiously waiting for all the cute and funny things she'll say.

    Hashaha nope you're right - it's definitely funny.  I'm in the same boat as @lbonga1 - no sentences here yet, but when they happen I expect them to be funny :)

    We aren't talking in sentences either over here. My niece was at my house for the last week and she is 2 months older than DS. After a bath when she is wrapped up in a towel she says "I'm baby Jesus" too dang cute!

    Speaking of sentences, DS woke up in the middle of the night last night and called out "I need mommy please!". At least he's polite at 4am?  :-/

    M doesn't do too much in the sentence department, but her most recent love is feeding the cat.  When you say, "do you want to feed the cat?" she comes running, yelling "feed, feed, feed."
