Hi ladies


I was quite active on TTGP, and then decided to take a break to sort out some mental health issues.


We initially decided to wait until January to start trying again, but fell pregnant in December. While it was earlier than we planned, we were so happy and excited! It was shortlived however, as I had a miscarriage at five weeks.


I have been mostly okay, but today it really hit me hard. My SIL in 31 weeks pregnant, and went for a 3D ultrasound today. She sent me some pics. While I am so happy and excited for her, I couldn't help start crying when I got the pictures :(


I have read the "Read this before posting" thread, but I sincerely hope I didn't overstep any boundaries by mentioning my SIL pregnancy?


While I'm sorry for the circumstances under which we are all here, I hope to become and active member and offer support as much as possible! I'm from South Africa and in a completely different time zone, so I'm always behind on reacting to posts!

    BFP # 1: 2/7/14, mmc 3/12/14, D&C 3/19/14
    Boy, Trisomy 13, Karyotyping and Genetic Testing all normal
    Hysteroscopy and D&C 6/2/14, retained tissue
    Off the bench 7/14
    BFP # 2: 10/3/14, Blighted ovum, D&C 11/12/14
    Girl, no chromosomal abnormalities detected
    RPL Testing: Pre-diabetic, ANA+

    Me: 42, DH: 46, Married: 11/12
    Losses: MMC#1 11/12 BO, MC#2 11/13 at 8w BO?, MMC#3 8/14 chromo healthy M @12 weeks, stopped growing at 10.
    Negligible AMH, FSH finally went high. Pursued DE.

    DD born at 38w2d on 5-27-16. Finally!!

    Pregnant again with OE. EDD 11/9/17 Girl!

    I am sorry for your loss. It can be really difficult managing the pregnancy of someone close to you after a miscarriage. Allow yourself the space you need to navigate your feelings. It's okay if you have to take a step back occasionally. Grief is not linear and at some points it may be more difficult than others. Welcome.

    I'm very sorry for your loss. I miscarried early on too, and it's been a hard and sad experience. 

    My best friend is pregnant now— she's due a month after I would have been. When she told me, I cried hysterically. While I'm happy for her, it's difficult to see her going through something we should have been going through together. It's no one's fault, but it just sucks. So you're not alone in how you're feeling. 

    Anyway, welcome to the board. I hope you find comfort and support here. The women on this board have helped me tremendously.

    @furrypaws - I am way up north, almost at the border of Zimbabwe :-)


    @tkford216 Great minds think alike! I replied on your intro before I read the replies to mine...


    @PetraStonegirl it is actually interesting to hear your thoughts! It enlightening to hear an "outsiders" view of our country. And many people don't even know where SA is  :P
