Ligament pain anyone?

Hi, never introduced myself but I've been lurking awhile now. Anywhosits, 6th pregnancy here (nah, really, I swear) and about 13 weeks. Ligaments are sucking big time this time around. Can't say there was much wear and tear the last go round since I had my son 3.5 years ago, but at barely 25 weeks. No problems this time around except for the spastic lightning shock pains around my groin. I know its normal going into month 4 but wtf. Not gaining a lot and I'm not showing a lot so again... this kind of sucks. Anyone have experience now or in pp? I'm going to ask my OB if there is some sort of belly brace band thing that could help. Anyone heard or tried something like that, this early on?
Thanks xo

Re: Ligament pain anyone?

  • Good for daily symptoms discussion. I had some of it starting week 8. Doc said it was fairly early for it, but that was it. Then It stopped, and picked up full force some week ago!! It is normal, but quite unnerving. And...haven't heard about anything that can help. Why bother...it isn't that extreme after all.

  • I'm going to be 11 weeks tomorrow, first pregnancy. Just started yesterday what I think is these ligament pains? Kinda made me nervous at first but I'm pretty sure it's all normal?
  • This is also my 6th pg (hopefully 2nd take home baby). I've had them already. I can always tell with a good sneeze. I think the more pgs the possibility of getting them sooner.

At this point I don't think I need any support. When it flares up I try to drink extra water and rest.

  • First pregnancy and I believe Im having them. Not sure thought im waiting till I go to my ob to ask. I feel like very mild stabbing pains on my right or left side and it varies through out the day nothing major that I can't handle. But since you brought it up I want to ask if this is how you feel since you have a bit more experience?
  • Second pregnancy and I've had them since week 5. Some have been so painful I double over, but things are just fine.
