I know that many people won't have any of this figured out yet.. but considering I was pregnant once not long ago I had already looked into a theme/color scheme. Post your nursery plans here!
During my last pregnancy, I decided that we wanted to do a woodland theme in green and brown.. then I stumbled across the MOST ADORABLE bedding set EVER! I waited to buy it, of course, and by the time I was about 9 weeks I decided I should just buy it.... HORRIBLE idea! It became discontinued and became absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to buy ANYWHERE.. I'm serious... I spent at least a week searching the internet with no hope.. I even emailed a lady on craigslist to purchase a used one (she lived on the opposite side of the USA)... needless to say, that didn't work out.... I was heartbroken.. None of the other sets lived up to my expectations..

Welll..... when I got my BFP, I immediately decided to start looking for bedding sets again, so that I wouldn't get screwed over the way I was last time... and GUESS FREAKING WHAT!!! I found that bedding set! Only 1 source sold it for the (normal) price of $150, 2 or 3 other sites upwards of $300 (due to it being a "hard to find item") You better believe I pulled out my wallet immediately! It's due to arrive in the next few days and I can't wait! This is what it looks like (the set I purchased on comes with a duvet cover, dust ruffle, diaper stacker and fitted sheet -- NO bumper (safety hazard!)) I also bought an adorable little accent pillow with the 2 deer on it that I can put on the rocking chair (pictured to the left of the lamp).. I will say, however that finding the accessories (such as a flipping
adorable lamp and hamper) is nearly impossible.. but I can improvise..
Additional plans for the nursery:
Resin antlers for hanging stuff
green painted walls
chocolate brown carpet
"grass" crocheted ruglog pillows to place in the corner on the rug
moss covered rocks on shelving
apothecary jar terrariumframed, pressed fernsframed feathersI have no idea what I'd do with this modern
pinecone lightthis 'picture'this side table that my friend's husband is making for us (lumberjack)
and if we have a boy (FX),
this decal WILL be on the wall!
Please share your ideas! I realize many of you will wait to find out what you are having, but since this will be our first baby and we hope to have more than one, I want all major items to be gender neutral.

Re: Fun Stuff.. Nursery Theme/Colors?
For a boy I like the boat/sailor/lighthouse look and for a girl I like very light whimsical pink/peach and cream colored and I've always wanted to put a liiiiittle chandelier
As for where baby is sleeping.. I have chosen to go to crib immediately. We bought an AngelCare monitor during our last pregnancy. I have done a lot of reading on going straight to crib/separate room, as well as have many friends that did it and had great success with it.
Now, I'm not saying I won't change my mind after the first few nights of waking up to feed, but if that happens, I plan on moving our twin sized bed into the nursery temporarily.

@cfearsy I love the elephants and the colors!
AFM I haven't thought too much about it because we don't know if we will still be living in our current house. If we stay where we are, new baby and DS are eventually going to share a room. If we move, I'm going to have to start doing some work on Pinterest because I'm drawing a total blank on neutral nursery themes!
Edited b/c I just noticed I can't spell.

buuuuut baby will be using a co-sleeper in our room for the first few months, and our current house doesn't have a room for a nursery. I'm hoping to move before the baby gets here. but the first few months will be co-sleeper either way.
