  • Before you freak out, take your phone apart. Battery and back cover off. Go stick the phone in a bowl of uncooked rice and let it sit there for like 6 hours.

This, which is exactly what I was going to say! :)

Gotta love those handy home hacks! I just taught my husband about this when my 3 year old dropped her tablet into the sink, he had no clue.

Oh yes, I have a whole entire Pinterest board dedicated to "Life Hacks" ... I love it!

  • Put it in the microwave.

Oh wait, no don't do that.
  • Do the rice thing! Sorry about your phone. My first one fell victim to toddler thievery & took a terminal dip in the toilet. You have all my sorries.

Too funny! Bad thing is, I went to college with a girl that actually did this...
  • Agree with the rice trick, but even better- buy some Damp-Rid and submerge your phone in it. It's like magic.
  • Def try to dry it out! My boss dropped her phone in a snowbank getting out of her car and it sat there overnight...she called me the next day to ask me to shuffle around in the driveway and see if I could find it. I did (I had been standing on it...oops) and brought it in, took it all apart and dried it off with paper towels. I let it sit on my desk apart for a couple hours to warm up / air dry some more and put it back together and it was totally fine.

Obviously living in a snowbank overnight isn't as bad as falling in the tub but it was def. worth the effort!
