Convertible Car Seat Recommendations!

Apologies if this is already posted in here somewhere...

So, I've been starting to do some preliminary research into convertible car seats. And I'm completely overwhelmed! For those who have already made the switch, do you have any good recommendations? For moderately priced options? Unfortunately, I'll probably need to be a couple so I can't spend a fortune. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    i really like my Britax convertible cars eat....i used it for my now 6 year old and have already transitioned my 6 month old into one:)  I like it since it is easy to install since there are some out there that seem so difficult to install correctly!!  They are around the $200-275 mark but i think they are well worth it!!

    Is there a carseat installer at your hospital you can ask?  I ended up asking our carseat tech for recs, which was very helpful (unfortunately the text is on my old phone so I don't have the recs anymore.  And we got the Chicco, which is a little more pricey- yay for Christmas gifts!)

    I'm a tech and actually a moderator for Car Seats for the Littles so come on over and join us :)  But I'm more than happy to help you here as well.  I see she's 6 months old.  How tall and heavy is she and what vehicles are you putting the seats in?  What's a comfortable budget for you?  Feel free to PM me if you'd rather talk that way.

    @ASmallWonder We have her 6 month appointment this afternoon so I'll have an accurate weight and length for you after that. I'll PM you later today or tomorrow and I'll also check out Car Seats for the Littles in the mean time. :) Thanks!

    Britax Clicktight Boulevard! I got a great tight install in a Volvo SUV and a Kia small sedan (it's my mother in law's, so can't remember what model). And I could install in under 5 minutes without breaking multiple fingernails and with nary a swear word uttered!

    I wouldn't call a ClickTight a moderately priced seat :)  Though it's an awesome install :)
