that have been in the fridge from lunch Friday? I am STARVING here at work and I've already eaten the sandwich that I brought. My general rule is usually 48 hours; so I'm nervous to eat them. I know, this is silly....just curious what everyone else's thoughts are.

As a food service proffessional, they are fine to eat, make sure you get them hot enough but general rule of thumb, food that is a left over that has been refrigerated is good for 7 days tops. Personally, I toss after 5.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback. I had asked some folks in the office but everyone either said, "Maybe." or "No." Haha. I'm going to heat up the damn chicken.

Yup. I am planning on serving leftover Kung poa chicken from Friday for dinner tonight... No one even touched it when DH and I ordered Chinese on Friday, so I'm going to add broccoli and throw it in the wok. (For the record it is from a high quality place so I trust they cooked it fresh.) Feeling super lazy after reading all the amazing WFD posts!

I'm with @Meggos1988‌. Leftovers are supposed to be good for about 7 days but I toss them after 5.

I give practically everything a week in the fridge. That is unless the color has changed or mold has grown or something else disgusting.

Can I just say though, just thinking about cold chicken tenders is making my mouth water!

@3timemom - that is usually how i am, but my spending money is gone. I only allow a certain amount for eating lunch during the weeks (and that includes buying groceries to eat at the office) and my sandwich I brought today was demolished before 11 and didn't dent my hunger. Haha.

Five days is my limit. Unless it's something really delicious that I just happened to forget was in the fridge, then I might go 7 days.

I'm glad they were tasty! DH tossed my leftover homemade pizza after only TWO DAYS. I almost cried this morning when he told me it was thrown out.

I'd eat them in the next hour and 20 minutes. I usually look at www.stilltasty.com to see if my leftovers are good. I usually left them in there longer than they advise...but I'm also usually hangry by the time I look at it.
