How are you labeling bottles for daycare?

We have to label with name and date.  Is there a cool product out there that erases like a dry erase board for the date labels?  Anyone?  I'm googling but finding nothing but stickers and semi-permanent labels.  This is annoying me way more than it should.

Re: How are you labeling bottles for daycare?

  • My daycare says we need name and date, but I didn't put the date on it and they didn't seem to care.  I use the orbit from inchbug.com with her name on them (https://www.inchbug.com/custom-orbit-labels.html).

My daycare asked me to label my bottles in the order I want them given (some are milk and some formula), so I bought these at Target and put them on the caps with numbers on them.

We will see how they work as this is Day 1 and no water has touched them.

  • Name bubbles.com

I love them and they are waterproof. I use the small rectangle ones with name on them. My son is 3 and I've never had one come off his cups/bottles/containers.

Our daycare doesn't make us put the date but I think they have some erase able ones as well. They are super affordable too.

  • We used the inchbug bands with DS and loved them. We'll do the same for this LO. I guess I would just use tape and a marker for the date. The inchbug clothing and other labels have been great too. They go through the dishwasher and washing machine with no problem.

  • I used painter's tape (the blue masking tape). It was easier to take off at the end of the day.

  • You've already gotten some cool recommendations but I'll throw one more in.

I use these dissolvable labels at home to label my pumped milk with dates. I'll probably use them when LO starts daycare. You just run them under water for a few seconds and they come right off :)

  • I'd try using washi tape..super cheap, comes in a million patterns or colors, available at Target and any craft store. It's paper tape, so it comes off easily, but you can use it to label almost anything. I use it to label containers with leftovers and I'm planning to do the same with bottles when daycare starts.
  • Thanks @everydaygirl83 - I'm seeing some cute girly patterns on amazon!  I may get this to start.  Good tip!
