Good Morning!

I have been missing my first born son more and more lately as I am parenting my rainbow. I thought joining this board where I can have some things in common with other parents may be something that helps me through this time.

We lost my first son Frankie in August 2012 at 6 days old, after he was born full term. We welcomed our rainbow baby Sam on 1/17/14. Having Sam meeting all these milestones and planning his first birthday has been making me more emotional that my first son Frankie never made it to these milestones. Another thing that has been making me emotional lately is everyone is asking when we are going to have a sibling for Sammy. He has a brother and he is in heaven but so many people just don't get it.

I appreciate all the love and support and I am excited about getting to know all of you!

    Welcome! Congrats on your son's uocoming 1st bday. I am very sorry for the loss of Frankie. You are right, many people just don't get it. Recently someone gave me this crazy look when I said that we took DS to the cemetary on the 3rd anniversary of the loss of our first son. He goes with us every time we visit the cemetary and all of our children will know about their brother in heaven. He is still a part of our family and a huge part of my heart. You will definitely find that the ladies here understand your feelings/struggles.

    Yes, exactly this! We take our son with us to go and visit Frankie every Sunday at the cemetery. Frankie is still very much a part of our family every day. I love talking about this with others who get it and don't give me the side eye when we talk about Frankie.

    Welcome! This is a wonderful group of ladies. I am so sorry for your loss. I have four little footprints from two little boys to look at, and it still seems surreal to me. I am not sure how I will share it with Tate. Follow your heart Mama, and try not to concern yourself with what other people think. I feel like they say and do things because it was not their experience, and they don't understand. Hugs.

    D&C: 03/08/12 Waited for AF for 146 long days!
    Hysteroscopy/D&C on July 10th to fix blocked cervix (DX: Cervical Stenosis)
