Anyone want to help me shop for bedding?

I don't know why I suck at this, but I feel like I could spend days looking at options and never find what I really want. We desperately need new bedding and want to switch to a duvet cover. I'm open to colors and patterns, as long as it's not anything too loud. And I don't want to go too light bc I don't want to wash the darn thing every week. Here's our bedroom furniture. Our walls are tan and the carpet is neutral. And of course, once I find bedding, we are going to need curtains since we've lived in the house 3+ years and only have shades on the windows. Sigh. It's like "If you give a mouse a cookie."

I found the perfect sheet set for B's room this weekend on RH. I kind of died when it was $129 for the sheet set minus the pillow case.

I did PBK pillow cases and target sheets since you can only see the pillows when the bed is made anyways. And James was still excited about the pillowcases.

This is probably too light for you, but I love this seersucker duvet cover. You can easily change up the room with throw pillows and throw blanket at the end of the bed.

I like this blue one for a darker look but still neutral enough to change up the room with different pillows and blankets for color.

Have I just been looking at the wrong places? I feel like all the covers I've seen and liked at all have been over $200.

$200 is normal for a king, but step it up to $300 and you can get Serena and Lily at full price for less than $300.

That one's pretty. I wonder if it's still too light. I'll have to check out Serena and Lily as well.

Check out OneKingsLane, HauteLook, places like that. I usually do my duvets from there but I like a just a plain white/cream linen duvet and they are a dime a dozen on those sites. And I pay around $100-150.

I'm a freak for white bedding, so I'm not much help. I have the DKNY Willow in white - they have other colors. It's really pretty in person.

If not for my love of frilly beds, I would go with a simple quilt and a pretty sheet.

I have this one pinned for James' room but I'm probably just getting the simple grey white stripe from West Elm because it is super cheap now. But I love this pattern.

So after all my "I don't want anything too light" protests, I ordered an ivory duvet this weekend. It's kind of frilly like the West Elm one and was on a super sale. I hope it looks good when it arrives!
