....I have 3 children already and DH and i just did our first round of IVF (only bc I have my tubes tied) we got our BFP and I'm currently 6wk6d....BUT I have NEVER been so paranoid durring a pregnancy in my life!!! With every milestone, 1st beta, 2nd beta, 3rd beta, ultrasound...etc I have told myself if this test comes out ok I will stop worring...now that all that is done I'm telling myself I'll feel better after I see the OB.....urgh what is wrong with me??? The only thing I can think of is that with this pregnany I read a lot more on the internet..probably because IVF is a new world to me....reading things like posts on various fertility forums and oh Google....has anyone else been in my situation and how did you overcome it???
This is a board for women who have become pregnant after going through infertility. This does not seem to be the best board for you. Good luck with your ultrasound.
Is there a pregnancy after infertility treatment board? Is this not it...because I'm not really sure what board to go to since this is a pregnancy after IVF, which is a fertility treatment...this isn't just a normal pregnancy for me anyway....so I'm confused on what board this belongs in?
This is the board for that those who are pregnant after having gone through infertility treatments like IVF, however your situation is different from most women here because you had three children easily (at least that's what's suggested in your first post), and chose to get your tubes tied, which is worlds away from those of us who had to do IVF (often multiple times) to even get pregnant once (although not everyone here did IVF, and some here experienced secondary infertility). For women who have struggled as much as @RunCC37 has, it understandably may be difficult to feel a lot of sympathy for someone with your comparative riches.
That said, I think all the women here would agree that pregnancy is extremely stressful after infertility treatment. I have never had a child, so I can't compare a baseline. I don't know that there's a way to overcome this until there's a healthy baby in your arms, which I have never experienced, so I can't be sure if that even makes things better.
So what you're feeling seems normal to me. Hope this helps.

Thank you for that explanation! I figured this was the only place for me to post where there are woman who have been through the same "treatment" as I have regardless of what the reason for treatment (ivf) was, especially as woman in the "normal" pregnancy forums cannot relate as they majority of them have not been through IVF! I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings!
Just to explain yes I do have three children from a previous marriage and durring that marriage I did chose to have my tubes tied (due to personal issues within that marriage). I am currently remarried and my husband has no children...this is the reason we chose to go with IVF.
I have several friends that have fertility issues and are unable to have children without IVF, many who like yourselves have gone through many cycles. After going through a round of IVF I cannot imagine what you all have had to go through.....I cannot imagine having to go through the loss...and i sympathize deeply with all woman that have fertility issues and especially thoes who go through IVF cycle after IVF cycle, as it was a very stressful and took a toll on my husband and I both.
All that being said I am just looking for advise from people who have been through the same treatment as I had gone through...I honestly wasn't looking to hurt anyone, create Ill feelings, or make people feel unconfortable...so IF I did I do apologize!
Welcome. Your sincerity is definitely coming across. Some people have short journeys but many of us have had long, bumpy-road journeys! The whole process makes you appreciate being pregnant in a more intense way so that might be why your are feeling more hypersensitive about each step and milestone from here on out.
The only advice is to go with the flow and take everything one day at a time. Hopefully it will be uneventful from here on out for you.

I would like to agree with much of what @pblge said. Anxiety while pregnant after IF or fertility treatments is very common, and I'm not sure if it ever goes away fully.
There are two other boards which may fit your situation a little more closely. I believe there is both a Secondary Infertility board and a Success after Infertility board. The second group have already welcomed their miracle babies into the world, and so may be able to advise whether the anxiety ever really subsides.
Note: Many of them may have also struggled for years for their first chance at pregnancy. So, be forewarned that they may be less empathetic regarding your shorter struggle.
I'm glad that you don't seem to be taking the warnings you've received personally - They are not meant to chastise you - Just to inform you of the history of many women here. You're understanding has been gracious thus far.
To add on to what @AMShark said above, I think secondary IF would be a better board for you to try rather than SAIF. I am over on there also as this should be my second take home baby after doing IVF. SAIF has several members that are really struggling with being one and done, so I would hesitate to point you over there.
OP I have never been fortunate enough to get pg without IVF, but I have to think that the whole process would be so much less anxiety producing! IVF is such an emotional commitment that it leaves you waiting for the other shoe to drop. Since you have had 3 successful pregnancies without treatments, I think that your chances of problems this time is very low, but I understand that you are nervous. One thing we say a lot around here is that try and take it one day at a time and unless you have other information confirmed by your doctor, today you are pregnant! Lots of us feel a tiny bit better with each u/s, then more so when we feel movement. When my daughter was born, I was still a little cautious right up until after she was born and I knew everything was really ok!
Congratulations and best of luck with your pregnancy!
(I also wanted to say thank you for being so understanding!)

I got pregnant with my DS after our first round of IVF. We had been trying for over a year and Clomid was unsuccessful. That being said, I was a nervous wreck my entire pregnancy. I didn't tell anyone but immediate family and friends that I was pregnant until I was about 7 months along. I was suoer anxious going into every appointment and didn't feel like I was really ok until baby was born.
