Hi ladies! My mom and I are looking to do a short (3-4 day) girls trip (just the 2 of us) sometime before the baby comes. I'm guessing that mid-March would be the latest I'd really want to travel since I am due May 16th. That all being said, any suggestions of places to go? We went to New Orleans last year and LOVED it! We walked a ton and ate our way through the city, not to mention enjoyed some of Jazz Fest! We live on the east coast (northeast) and are willing to take a flight somewhere.
Thoughts or ideas?

I've also been to Charleston and I didn't like it. To me the people weren't as friendly, I'm spoiled being from the New Orleans area.
YES! Gotta love the Texas food!!!

I'd book a trip to Miami. No joke. Sunny, gorgeous, and they don't even know what winter is down there lol
Or Boulder CO is nice this time of year if you don't mind the cold, I love CO
There is also Fort Lauderdale, Seaside, all in FL.... Those are nice for short trips.
Or Las Vegas! But that of course may require more money than y'all planned on spending if you end up in the casinos lol.

Local eats that can't be missed:
Loveless Cafe
Bluebird Cafe
The Palm (fancy)
Virago (Asian fusion, sushi but they have other options- very good)
Pharmacy Burger (East Nashville fare, very popular right now)
Holland House (semi fancy dinner spot)
Husk (fancy)
The Southern (amazing brunch!!!)
The Tavern
Hattie B's Hot chicken
Edley's BBQ
The Copper Kettle (brunch till 3 pm Sundays)
Las Hacienda Authentic Taqueria (one on Nolensville)
Desserts:
Jeni's homemade ice creams
The Puffy Muffin Bakery
Fox's Donut Den (a local legend around here)
A milkshake from Elliston place Soda Shoppe on Church st.
Places to see for music:
Really any place on Broadway past 8th ave but watch out! Most of our bars are still smoking and are packed ass to elbow. Especially crowded and crazy but worth seeing a least:
Tootsie's orchid Lounge
Second Fiddle
Mercy Lounge/Cannery Ballroom (Nashville's most popular non indoor smoking local non country venue, and where I got married, DH used to book shows for them constantly and it's one of my all time favorite spots here)
Bluebird Cafe
I would skip Opry Mills mall. It's a sucky overpriced tourist trap and nothing worth seeing other than an H&M. Opryland Hotel is beautiful and lovely, but STAY away from the food there! If you must, get their pizza and maybe a Haagen Daas milkshake but the other places to eat are nasty.
Downtown Franklin is another good daytime option. Lots of historic civil
War era buildings, specialty shops, and cute little places to eat.
Good luck wherever you decide!

My girlfriends and I are headed to South Lake Tahoe for a few days at the beginning of March for a shower/getaway.
