Happy new years to all of you. I guess my son figured since it was 2015 he could come whenever. Haha. At 33w+3d after 2 days of menstrual - type pain (no bleeding, spotting, loss of mucous plug, or etc) I finally gave in and called my doctor after hours. She said it could be pre-term labour, dehydration, an infection, or nothing. After trying to hydrate and that being unsuccessful I went into L&D.
I thought they would just give me an IV and send me home; BUT apparently I was in labour; active at 7 minutes apart and strong contractions. They gave me several successive doses of a medication call terbutaline which made my heart pound out of my ears. Because my heart was racing, his heart was all over the place too. I wanted to cry just seeing it. My baby was hurting because in wanted to stay home so I wouldn't be the pregnant woman who cried wolf. In the end I'm glad my husband took me to the hospital.
TL;DR: Labour is very different for everyone. It may not hurt or be all set dramatic all so you think. If it feels weird or different: GO TO THE HOSPITAL. We are all so close.
