When do babies usually turn?

Just curious, since I'm absolutely certain this little guy is still head up, due to the non stop thundering kicks I'm feeling as low on my belly as possible (I think he's trying to get out early, since that's right where my c-section incision will be), and occasionally to my cervix.

I know they were very concerned about my dd being breech, and I had an u/s just to check on it at 36 weeks, but she had finally just turned by then.  This time around I'll have a c-section no matter what, so I guess he can be as upside down (and big) as he wants to be, but I'm just curious.

    10% will be breech at 32 weeks and 50% of those at 36 weeks.

    The studies I've read say that up to 25% are breech at 32 weeks and at full term that goes down to 4%... not sure about in between though.

    My guy turned at 35 weeks.  He was breech for weeks 23-35...I was so sure that he wasn't going to turn, but he did!

    Eve's been head down since 24 weeks.. She was sideways before that..

    Harris was breech at 28 weeks and I asked the u/s tech when they usually will be head down and stay there. She said usually by 28 weeks, but she's seen them turn after their due dates, too, so there's no way of knowing. I asked the doc at our appointment yesterday and he said that the absolute time for them to get head down is by the time you're in labor (duh--but this is his humor). I like the statistics in the first poster's response. We'll find out next week if Harris is still breech. I hope he gets it together soon.

    I'm going on 34 weeks and baby is still breech :( ?I think they should turn by 36 weeks... ?let's hope! ?

    I am almost 30 weeks and baby girl is head down.  I think she has been this way for 2 weeks now.

    I'm not too sure, but I know that at my 32 week growth u/s mine was already head down.. in fact, I think that mine was already head down at about 28 weeks based on the same kicks you discribe.   You still have plenty of time for the baby to turn.
