Help! I really need someone's input.

Ok so me and my fiance were going through some rough times I slept with another guy. He knows and we worked it all out. After I had sex with that guy I started my period that next day it lasted from 9/6-9/12. It was normal from what I remember. In October I found out I was pregnant. Early on I went to the emergency room and they told me I was a week farther long than my doctor said so now I would be 18 weeks. And with the dates it says I wpuld have concived the week of my period. Could the baby measure farther long than I actually am or could that guys sperm survive while my period was happening and I concive then?

    Please ask your doctor this question. Good luck- that is a sticky situation to be in!

    I plan on it. It just has been on my mind a lot. I have never really been very fertile so I don't think it is the other guys. Also if I am 17 weeks then it adds up to it being my fiance's.

    I would also seek maybe a therapist to talk to… seems like your plate is full.

    I don't believe I need a therapist. I have talked to the guy about it. He really doesn't care and my fiance said that he will be there no matter if it is his or not. It is normal to think about it nothing to see a therapist about. I also have a very great support system friends and family but they don't seem to know either so I figured I would post it on here to see if I could get a good answer.

    Seeing a therapist is not a bad thing or something to be ashamed about, but it seems to be weighing really heavy on your mind, and stress is not good for you or your baby.. Talking it out may help. Please don't take it the wrong way.. nicest intentions there.

    I understand and sorry I kinda did take it a little out of hand. I guess that has never been a thing of mine. If I start stressing to bad over it I will definitely take your advice.

    I mean, no. In order for you to have conceived with the other guy you would've had to have ovulated within 5 days of having sex and since you were on your period during that time you weren't ovulating. Also, the further along you are in your pregnancy the less accurate a dating ultrasound is since babies grow at different rates. It's entirely possible to be say 30 weeks but the baby is measuring 32 weeks, or vice versa.

    I'm sorry your going through this but I have no idea....your doctor probs won't either! The best thing is to wait until your child is born and have a DNA test! I know maybe not what you wanted to hear but that way your 100% sure! Hope it works out how you want it to!
    P.s I don't think you need a therapist either!!

    I second the DNA test. Glad your fiancé knows what is going on and is supportive of you and the baby.
