If so, how was it and how soon after birth did you get it?

LO will be 11 weeks on wednesday, I'm weaning off pumping (down to once/day for 10 minutes) and still nada. I thought it'd be here by now. I need to make sure I pack supplies for my return to work!

Yup, twice!!! Lucky me, mine came at 3.5 weeks pp and it was again 21 days later as per my usual cycle. I am also EBF and was hoping for it not to return until after I stopped breastfeeding.

Just finished up a visit with good ol' Auntie Flo. Pips was 7 weeks when it started. It was lighter than it used to be, and not crampy at all but did last a full seven days. Before LO, it was around five days. But I'm not complaining.

I think I have, but it was probably the lightest period I've ever had. It started on New Year's Eve actually, LO was a little over 9 weeks, but only seemed to last for two days and didn't even fill one thin liner a day. Guess we'll see if I get another one in a few weeks...

Not surprising though since I EFF. I got it around 6-7w PP. Flow wise, it seemed to be lighter than usual. I also didn't get any cramps, which is weird for me. Thought for sure my ute would be a very unhappy camper after twins & a CSection...

I haven't gotten one (EBF) and didn't get any at all when I breastfed my other one either!
In fact I literally got ONE period between when I stopped breast feeding and when I got pregnant again...
I didn't know that people got periods while breast feeding, is that normal??

Yup it's just as normal as not getting it while breastfeeding, not as common but normal. It's how many people end up with "Irish twins" because it is assumed you couldn't get pregnant while EBFing.

Not yet, but had light pp bleeding until 8 weeks. I EBF and also did with ds1 and didn't get my first pp period until 10 months. It was heavier and with more cramping.

I think I did - I had a little spotting 2 days before my 6 week postpartum appt, and then two weeks later had some more significant flow for about 3-4 days. It just ended. I am also EBF. I asked my Dr. about it at my appt and she confirmed sometimes breastfeeding delays it, but not always. I also just got on the mini-pill, so that may the last one I get for awhile. It was a LOT lighter than before, no cramps. The annoying thing was DH and I had just DTD for the first time post partum, so then it was a few more days before we could think about trying again. And now we'll be waiting for LO to take a nap, and DH is going back to work tomorrow post-holidays. So jealous of that person who posted that they were having ALL THE SEX. ;-)

Not yet but I'vd had some spotting. I stopped PP bleeding at 2 weeks but right after my 4 week PP appt I bled for a day or two but light. Then it stopped, and at about 6wk PP I had another 1 day.
I'm EBF and have started the minipill so I'm hoping I'll be period free for atleast another few months!

Not yet thankfully! 6w4d pp here and EBF so REALLY hoping it stays away for at least 6-8 months. Mine were always long, 7-8 days, and mostly light except I'd have 2-3 heavy (miserable) days.

I think if I don't get mine within the next month I'm going to call the doc. After POAS, of course, but the chances of that (BFP) happening are slim.

Nope. I'll be 8wks pp tomorrow. Stopped EP'ing & supplementing and went to EFF at 3.5wks.

I've been really crabby today and my skin broke out, I bet AF is close. After my d&c's af was 40-50 days after, so I assumed she would take her time pp also.

No. Just had what is termed a "6th week bleed" that is still counted as postpartum bleeding.

Conclusion: "It is unlikely that vaginal bleeding in fully breast-feeding women in the first 8 weeks postpartum represents a return to fertility."

It is usually not considered a return on menses until after 56 days and bleeding resumes again the following month. It doesn't matter if lochia stopped at 3 or so weeks. Postpartum bleeding can resume again within that 8 week time frame. My bleeding "stopped" at 3.5 weeks, and then noticed some spotting at 4.5 weeks and now light bleeding yesterday evening and this evening.

With my others, EBF, including frequent night/comfort (an important component of LAM): Dd1, 8 months; dd2, 13 months; ds1, 9 weeks (no BFing); ds2, 9 months.

It was likely delayed further with dd2 because she continued nursing every 1.5-2 hours (including at night) until 12 months.

7 weeks pp here & I got it at 4.5 weeks pp. it lasted a week & was heavier than I'm used to. Usually I go for 3-4 days tops and it's generally light. I combo bf/ff.

Mine appeared yesterday on the 6 week mark with a vengeance. It was startling at first, especially after ttcal and looking for any red flags this whole pregnancy and then realizing...oh yeah, this is normal...dammit

So I haven't gotten mine yet, and at my pp check up with my family doc, she said that's not normal and she wants me to go for bloodwork. She said if everything looks normal on the bloodwork, she'll put me on something to speed up getting my period.

I'm EBF, and told her this, but she insists it isn't normal to not have had my period. I'm 8 weeks pp. My OB moved away in December (and brought his amazing assistant with him), but I'm tempted to hunt down their new phone number and call and ask their opinion.

I've had a lot of cervical mucous this week...usually that means AF will be here in a couple of weeks.

Yup, I'm thinking AF will be here in a couple of weeks. It just seemed like A LOT more than when I was TTC. Maybe I've blocked it out, haha.

I have a question, I meant to ask my doc when DS got his shots last week but I was so focused on that, I forgot.

I am 9w pp and EBF and have not had a period yet. I was wondering about the mini pill. I was on the pill prior to getting pregnant and was wondering if the mini pill would dry up my milk and if I have to have a period before starting it. Thanks ladies!
