I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one who's not doing a nice and tidy daytime schedule with LO. My main concern is that he eats and naps all willy nilly. He often nurses (or gets a bottle when I'm at work) when he wakes up from a nap AND when he goes down for a nap, so he's sort of snacking all day, and I think it's messing up everything else.
(He's also snacking all night, so I'm working on that too!)
My New Year's resolution is to get this shit together! For those of you on a clock schedule, would you please share it? I'm interested in nap times, feedings (solids and milk), play time, etc. I want to be just like you!

We're following moms on call and are currently in the 4-6 month schedule as we introduce solids. Also, since we both work FT it helps with daycare to have a routine. I'm going to give our weekday schedule. Weekends only vary with wake up times and if we're lucky enough to get an extra hour of sleep.
6am wake up, nurse, dressed and heading to school by 6:30. Weekends aim for 7am wake up.
8am food (we're doing purees right now)
9ish nap
11am up from nap and nursing
12pm lunch
1pm nap (same afternoon nap time as DS, so it's a lovely break)
3pm nurse
4pm dinner
5:30ish nap if we're lucky, otherwise playtime until bedtime routine
7 start bedtime routine
7:30 nurse and down for the night
Right now we are getting a wake up around 3 for a MOTN feeding, but that varies.
The only schedule we have is for sleeping and it differs on weekday vs weekends. We do start bath at 9pm, nurse and then sleep by 10-1015pm. On the weekends, DS2 wakes up around 8am. Then naps at 10am, 2pm (longest nap) and small nap around 6-630pm.
During the week, I wake him up at 630am to head over to my mom's. He eats as soon as he gets there and then naps at 8am (longest nap), 2pm and 6-630pm.
She still nurses on demand, trying to work on spreading them out to every 2.5-3 hours but I feel like I'm having supply issues so I just let her snack on and off all day....as far as the rest of the stuff goes we have a pretty decent schedule going 7:30-8 both kids up and breakfast/nursing 9:30 nap (almost always only 30min) 10-10:30 play, tummy time 11:30 lunch for DS, oatmeal and fruit purée for DD 12 nurse 12:30 or 1 both kids nap (DS for 2.5hr, Dd im working on getting at least 1.5) 2 nurse 4 nurse then short evening nap 5:30 dinner 6 bath for both kids 6:15 Dd nurses then gets a bottle of breastmilk to top her off 6:30ish DD asleep 8 DS alseep

We are also using the moms on call schedule. He had the flu a couple of weeks ago, so he's been nursing more often but he's getting back on schedule. The flu really messed with his sleep too, but we are back down to 1 MOTN feeding!
We have created our schedule based on DDs lead and around her medication schedule.
6:30-7am: DD wakes up but we don't pull her out of the crib until 7.
7:30: oral meds + 8oz bottle
11:30: veggies + 7oz bottle
3:30: oral meds + 7oz bottle
7:30: cereal + 8oz bottle - she's in her wombie before bottle and falls asleep on DH for 10min and then put into her porta crib
DH gets her at 11:30 for meds + small bottle, she will still be asleep. During the night she will randomly wake up for her paci here and there.
Her napping schedule varies, sometimes it's 2-3 1hr naps, sometimes its 1 2hr nap or sometimes its a few cat naps. To occupy our day we do piano mat, floor play, exersaucer, taking the dog for a walk, run errands, cuddle, a little mickey mouse club house, or just resting in her crib if she won't nap. It will all depend on her mood, some days she just wants to be held or sleep, some days she wants to play or we are out all day. Every other night or sometimes 2 nights we do a bath and that's right before cereal and her bottle!
Our LO kind of fell into his own schedule, and it works for us mostly. He is in Daycare so I think that has an impact...sometimes good, sometimes bad.
~6:30 (sometimes earlier, sometimes later) Wake up and nurse
8:00 Off to Daycare! Usually drowsy around this time and falls asleep in carseat
10:00-11:00ish Nap
A feeding before or after that nap
1:00-2:00ish Nap
A feeding before or after that nap
Sometimes a nap around 4:00
4:30ish Feeding
6:30 Feeding (this time with Mom)
7:00-8:00 PM somewhere in here LO decides he's ready to zonk out
10:30 PM dream feed
Not sure if I'm still supposed to be dream feeding, but I think it helps him through the night. Sometimes he still wakes up during the night, but there's not been a rhyme or reason to those wakings so I suspect maybe teething pain is waking him. (example: One day he wakes up at 1:30am crying for food, another day 3:00am, another day not till 5:00am).
Our schedule is rough but is getting more predictable.
7:15 nurse, then we go for a walk usually 8:30 first nap 10:30 nurse, followed by playtime 11:45 second nap 1:00 nurse, more playtime 2:30 nap (she's been fighting this afternoon one lately but our routine has been "off" with the holidays) 4:00 nurse/nap if she didn't nap earlier (I have to hold her usually for this one) 6:30 solids 7:00 bath 7:30 nurse/bedtime
I just started an evening schedule for weekdays, but other than that we have none, yet. DH's schedule varies so much we have to keep things kind of loose, and that works for us right now.
We do a feeding when he wakes and when he goes back down for a nap too. His brothers never needed that, but it works for him. So don't feel like that needs to go in order for you to have some routine.
And I believe morning wake up and night bed time times are the ones we should be sticklers on. All other things will change so often based on baby's needs that you will have to be flexible to not get stressed.
Between 5 and 6: nurse and right back to bed 8:00 : wake put in the car to my moms for the day 9:00 5oz breastmilk 9:45 : solids (fruit and cereal) 10:30 - 12 : nap 1:00 5oz breastmilk 2:30-3:30 nap 4:00 nurse 5:30 : solids (veggie and cereal) 6:30 : bath 7:00 nurse 7:15 bed
@jnnfrrose6nolemomma14 I am interested in this Moms on Call schedule! The schedule jnnfrrose6 described is pretty much perfect for us!
I have looked into it a little bit and MOC seems to be CIO centric. Are you guys doing the CIO thing? I was super against it until I realized it may be inevitable with my LO, who is getting MORE and more dependent on me to get him back to sleep rather than less and less as he gets older, and not just sleeping through his sleep cycles like I wish he would
Also, the schedule you gave is for 4-6 months and my LO is over 6 months now, though he was a preemie, so he is not a gestationally corrected 6 monther until Jan 13th....at any rate, he will soon be out of that window, if he's not already.
Do you guys know what the schedule is for the next age up?
Thanks so much for EVERYONE's input!!

@PregsMcSnoozalot the next schedule they give is essentially the same, give or take half an hour. The schedule we are in right now really works for us, so I think we will just stick with it even after he's 6 months. DS will be 6 months on the 14th.
Right now if he wakes up I go in and check on him, then leave for 5 minutes. I'll do that two more times for a total of 15 minutes. If he's still crying then I will go ahead and feed him. I stopped nursing him to sleep, and he actually does great going to sleep on his own.
He had the flu a couple of weeks ago which really messed with his sleep, and he was waking 3-4x a night. DH and I have both read Ferbers book, and it looked like we might need to do CIO for more than 15 minutes once he hit 6 months. Last night though he nursed at 7:30 and went to sleep. He woke up at 8 for some odd reason. I checked on him twice, he fussed for 10 minutes and went back to sleep until 6am!!!
I'm hoping it'll continue. I hope the schedule works for you. It's been a big help for us!
I have a question about what "check on the baby" means. I see that a lot in discussions about CIO and I am wondering if the point is to see what the baby is doing, or if it's to show the baby that you are there.
I have a video monitor, so I can "check on" the baby from the living room...so I'm sorta confused if that's what people mean....

My LO has no set schedule at this point. He's happy and gets enough sleep so I don't see the need. He does tend to fall asleep around 9, nursed to sleep and wakes 0-2 x per night. Sometimes his bedtime varies a bit depending on if if I work. I don't think I could do CIO bit we did get a crib soother for Xmas which sometimes helps him go back to sleep on his own. I've gotten strange looks about him not being on a schedule, but it's working for us so I try not to worry about what others think.
