Sorry, I spaced out all morning and forgot to start this weeks check-in. I'm a turd.
So, how was your week? Tell me about New Years. Any appointments coming up next week?
GTKY: Did you make a resolution (I know that's been asked already elsewhere) BUT second part: what steps are you already taking to make your goal happen?
We have had a crummy time lately, with me being put on bed rest, but it was nice DH had his off week from work this week. He has been amazing and helpful! Starting Monday I will have DD1 in half days at daycare, and I will bring her home in time to nap her here. By the time she wakes, dad will be home. Perfect. So hopefully that works out.
I've been making lists and pinning shit on Pinterest like crazy. There's a lot of crap still to buy for #2 here, even though she's the second girl. It's a little daunting. But a good thing is I found a double stroller on kijiji and got it for a great price! I was torn on buying one, but it was inexpensive and great for what we need. Couldn't pass it up.
This week coming up I see the OB on Tuesday (every 2 weeks now) and an ultrasound at the high risk unit at the hospital I work at on Thursday. I will be able to visit some gal pals, which will be nice. I work 20 steps from L&D.
Our NYE was quiet. We put DD1 to bed, and had some snacks. I drank grape juice and DH polished off a bottle of champagne. We kissed at midnight and fell asleep.
GTKY: I made some self improvement ones but one goal I set as far as something I want to actually DO is learn to use my sewing machine and make stuff with it. So I have a designer friend who is going to come give me a tutorial. And I have simple stuff pinned to try. So I guess those are steps towards it? I really want to be able to make matching crap for the girls.

Re: Oh shit... High Risk Check-In 1/2
I failed my 1-hr glucose !!! So angry. My 3-hr is scheduled next Friday. Along with my follow up ultrasound for little mans cystic structure in his belly.
Then I see my ob on 1/15 for my bi weekly check up and he said he will schedule a growth ultrasound for me at 28 weeks. The only plus to being high risk is all the extra ultrasounds!
That's great that you'll be able to see some of your co workers! Last time when I was on bed rest, I stopped by my job a few times because I missed them! Let us know how the appointment and ultrasound go!
There's still SO MUCH left to do and buy for this little guy. We have a car seat/stroller and a dresser/end table combo that we want to refinish for him (wonder when that will ever happen? Haha) Because DD had an old crib given to her, we're donating it since she is in her "big girl bed" now and my parents are buying us one with a changing table attached but we haven't gone and picked it out yet! What kind of double stroller did you get? We definitely need to get going on figuring that part out as well!
NYE, we were all in bed by 10! Haha DD was sleeping by 930.
I really, really really want to learn to crochet! I just always wonder when the heck I'm going to have time to do that with a toddler, new baby and finishing school this spring.

Hi everyone! This is my first check in here.
I am almost 25w with baby #2 and have complete placenta previa. I am also walking on eggshells waiting for my first (most likely) bleed and bedrest. We are getting ready for a move so trying to balance packing with not overdoing it and causing a bleed.
QOTD- my resolution is to stop frivolous spending. I need to stop the take out and limit my trips to Target.

@cwiceangel ya I hope they don't freak over your sugars especially considering the last one was normal... So weird!
@Amandysergio boo for failing the 1h! I gotta go do that in a week or so. The blood lab up the street will do it as a walk in. Hope the 3h goes well!
@KonaiNeto sorry about the contractions! Scary stuff, I'm happy they passed. Anything since?
I didn't make any NY resolutions this year actually. No reason for it really either lol other than I just didn't even think about it! I am focusing though on making sure to take time for myself at least once a month. And also stressing less about things I cannot control, like how my mother feels about my life for example!!

Nothing crazy to report for me. Saw my OB yesterday and everything is looking good. This babe is stuck on my right side which is making my sciatica flare up but it's also making me look lopsided! My OB, my massage therapist, even my mom have made comments about how off my belly looks.
I've had ultrasounds at every appointment up until yesterday, which was kind of nice because we actually got to hear the heart beat with the Doppler (something that we hadn't done yet, so very exciting!). At my next appointment we will do another ultrasound to check cervical length to make sure I'm not beginning to thin and to check the blood flow to the placenta.
GTKY- We had a super chill New Year's Eve. Just went to my BIL and his wife's place to play games and let the kids play. Both my boys were passed out by 10:30 and DH fell asleep on their couch by 11.
As for resolutions, mine is to start journaling about my kids more. I bought 3 journals, one for each, and whenever they do/say something cute or funny or whatever I'm going to document it for them so they can look back when they're older and see how sweet they were. I always loved going through my baby book because my parents had a section filled with funny things I had said, so I think it would be a nice keepsake for them to have as well.
I was diagnosed with complete previa at 20 weeks, 24 weeks I was told it was partial and they expected Jo issues, the next day I was hospitalized for 2 days for bleeding. I got out the Saturday before Christmas on bed rest and the day after Christmas I was back in for a week for more bleeding.
I've been home on bed rest again for a couple days and just so scared every time I move that I'm going to bleed and constantly think I feel bleeding.
I was also informed at my most recent stay that my cervix is shortening.
Next appointment is this Thursday just for a check in, then the following week I have an ultrasound.
Anyone else with previa/bleeding have tips on just relaxing and not going into panic every time I feel discharge?
I am worried about my 2nd glucose test in 3 weeks b/c my eating habits are less than great (due to only certain things staying down/sounding appealing).
I'm 26w3d with baby #2. I just had my 11th progesterone injection last Thursday. I go to the doctor 1/6 for a cervical check then 1/15 with mfm for ultrasound.
At my 24 week appt, cervix was nice and closed and measuring 37mm, no bed rest til I start dilating or drop below 25mm. Praying these injections work for baby girl! (I delivered my son at 30w due to ptl of unknown cause).
I have my glucose test Tuesday. Hoping to keep it down. Between horrible heartburn and nasty winter viruses, it's hard to keep things down.
Looking foward to spring and having a full term baby. Fingers crossed!
I'm having a hard time as all these moms are being diagnosed with diabetes for the first time. As you whine and complain about the sugar test and how gestational diabetes is messing up your life... Consider the rest of us who have dealt with it for years before the baby and will still have it after delivery. We all want healthy normal size babies!
As for NYE. We went to a friends house and had dessert with fondue and played Cards Against Humanity. DH had to work the next morning so we kissed at midnight and went to bed. As for New Year's resolutions... I never really make any. 2015 is going to be a great year ladies!

Please keep us updated. It's seriously nice to not be alone in this specific problem.
Fellow high risk ladies (non epileptic) please don't think I'm dismissing you and all of your support so far. You are wonderful ladies and I so appreciate all of you.
Nothing eventful here. Like @saltbox40 , I have insulin resistance that is making life a bit stressful. I get really tired if my blood sugars are high so I have been working really hard at keeping them down. It's no fun!
I do not have any updates on baby... Have my next appointment two weeks away. Baby's kicks reassure me a lot.
NYE- did not do anything. My son climbed into our bed so I was cuddling with him (went to bed early). No resolutions for me- each day as it comes...
I wish everyone well.
