Pumping Question for back to work/school

Will you/do you pump both sides each time or just the side LO would be nursing from? My LO typically nurses 15 min on one side at each feeding but I started thinking I should pump both sides while away from him each time. TIA for your help!

    You will get more milk by pumping both. So if you are hoping to pump enough to not have to supplement, I would definitely pump both.

    @runningmama14‌ Thanks for your response. That was exactly what I was thinking...I'd rather have some extra than not enough (if I am lucky lol) and I would like him to stay EBF if possible. Thanks again!

    I asked this in the BF thread a few days ago because I was curious too. Obviously I have no idea how my supply will be affected when I go back to work, but I was afraid of producing an oversupply by pumping both sides. I guess it's better to have more than I need rather than less though.

    Also remember that you can freeze the extra too so you have a good back up supply
