January Fitness Challenge Day 3

It's Saturday! I'm going to have to really buckle down and get my exercise in. My Dad is visiting and has lots of things planned for today.

  • I did a stupid walking video. Grr started screaming halfway through it. So mister came upstairs and proceeded to watch me w baby on his lap.

  • Did my 25 crunches yesterday with my dogs trying to attack my face. I'll be doing my 30 crunches soon. I also have discovered that I cannot do a plank anymore. I last all of 5 second before I cave, looks like I need to add in some push ups.

  • Mind if I join January's Challenge? My goal is to do the 7 minute workout (12 workouts for 30 secs with 10 sec rest between) each day. I completed today and I will try to add in two extra this month to make up for yesterday and the day before.

    Wait, what?!?! 7 minute workouts?
    TTC with PCOS since November 2009
    IUI#1 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP, m/c
    IUI#2 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 5-9) = BFN
    IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!
    beta #1 11/23 = 270, P4 = 75
    beta #2 11/28 = 2055
    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    Did my 25 crunches yesterday with my dogs trying to attack my face. I'll be doing my 30 crunches soon. I also have discovered that I cannot do a plank anymore. I last all of 5 second before I cave, looks like I need to add in some push ups.

    Try doing it on your elbows instead of up on your hands. That's what I had to for some of the longer planks last month.

    ETA:
    Day 3 of LBD done for me. I also walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes while listening to the new Slate Serial Spoiler Special (have you read the Intercept articles and listened to it yet @ovenrack‌ ?)

    I got a new Jillian Michaels Kickboxing DVD with three 20 minute workouts that I plan to try tomorrow.

    But there are more out there.

    Apparently 7 minutes of high intensity interval training has many of the same benefits of long term endurance training. I think I can find 7 minutes each day to do it, so I am trying it.

  • I ate cake in the bathtub. Then I did a yoga for sleep routine in the bed. I do feel good after the yoga.

  • TTMA diastasis recti. I still have some separation but I'm itching to do full body workouts. Is it going to make it worse or will it stay the same? I swear all the good workouts have pushups, planks and ab work. :(

  • No working out until DR is gone @doeie04‌ When I was first KU with G all the prenatal workouts weren't intense enough for me, but I didn't want to do the ab stuff in my normal workout. A fitness guru friend suggested doing a "normal" workout, but anytime there was ab work to substitute a prenatal exercise instead. That worked pretty well for me.
