I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your love and support this past year. Reese got her official diagnosis nearly a year ago. We went to the local hospital on January 12, 2014 and got transferred to Monmouth Medical and then CHOP, where we got her actual diagnosis of Leukemia on January 14, 2014. It has been a nightmare year for us, and we seriously (or I couldn't) have gotten through it without everyone's support.
The difference in Reese in a year has been remarkable. We got our happy, giggling, smiling kid back. Even though she didn't get her diagnosis until January, she did start to get sick most likely around November. She has lost a year of her childhood, but is making up for it every single day. If you saw her now and then, you would have thought she was a completely different kid. The worry for me is still there. All the time. I try to swallow it as much as I can, because I don't want her to pick up on my anxiousness. She needs to just be a kid. Hopefully this year will be uneventful in terms of doctor's appointments, hospital stays, and surgeries. Her port was removed last month. She still will be on oral daily chemo for another year and a half, but now we have monthly appointments instead of weekly. Her hair is growing back, which she is SO excited for. She can't wait to get clips again.
So thank you to everyone for their constant love and support.
Here is a picture of Reese a few weeks before her diagnosis (she was sick then)

And a year later at this New Year's Eve:

The difference is amazing!
