So Many People to Thank - Feeling Loved

I have so many people to thank right now. A post just doesn't seem adequate to show how much I appreciate all that you ladies have done to show, but I'm going to try my best.

Starting with @IFinTN's care package almost two weeks ago, and then the baby blanket knitting project, complete with everything needed to make the blanket from @pblge , @turquoisequeen & @IFinTN , and today, DH came back from the mail box with an amazing bounty of packages.

I had tears in my as I opened the care packages today. They full of so many thoughtful and generous gifts. I received sparkly gold slippers, large enough for my giant (size 11) feet, an angel Christmas ornament, not one, but two gift cards for Amazon (Amazon is the savior of all women on bed rest - truly), a really touching print, and a tear-jerker of a beautiful necklace engraved with the words "She believed she could so... she did."

So far, so good, I think. My last MFM appointment before New Years is tomorrow.

I'm a little afraid I might have a yeast infection, which has me worried, so I've called my OB and plan to get it checked out today.

My appointment with my MFM went really well today. I got a full scan of both babies. Baby A's heartbeat was 135 and Baby B was 152 - (the girl tends to be faster than the boy, so this was totally normal for our LOs). Our MFM was very pleased with the amount of fluid that the U/S tech measured in both sacs. (A still had less than B, but both were in normal range).

Since I have not had a noticeable fluid leak for 1 week 1 day, we're starting to think the tear may plugged itself. So, instead of checking into the hospital on Thursday, as planned, I'm going to my MFM's office for another exam. I believe he's going to try to confirm that the leak has stopped. If it has, the next step will probably be continued at home bed rest, and steroids as an outpatient. If I'm still leaking, I'll go straight to the hospital (I'm going to the appointment with a bag packed - just in case).

I'm a little nervous about being overly confident at this stage. This is the longest I've gone without leaking, but only by 1 day, so, I still feel a bit like anything can happen. It would be much more comfortable to continue bed rest at home, instead of going to the hospital, but there was a little bit of comfort in thinking that if something did happen, I would be in the right place for help. (Though, if I'm home, it will only be because the leaking has stopped - which is absolutely what I want to hear). So, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Both LO's have recently decided that moving around is there thing which I am really enjoying at this stage. (I hear it can be less pleasant when they're bigger - but hey, then they'll be
BIGGER which is what I really, really want).

On the less exciting side, I now have a yeast infection (tmi? probably, but I feel like I've been sharing news of my lady parts for so long now, the lines all get kinda hazy). I guess the combination of pregnancy, antibiotics, and wearing maxi pads for the past 3 weeks was a little too tempting for everyone's favorite fungus. My OB and MFM didn't seem too worried about it, so I'm not going to be either. I'm treating it with a topical cream (I think oral meds are mostly frowned upon during PG).

Thrilled that the worst news is a yeast infection!!! That's an awesome problem to have compared to what you've been worried about.

And the movements later do get more uncomfortable, but not bad and I still love each one (even when it's a 2am cervix punch that wakes me up) because it means my little guy is doing well, so I hope your babies will stay in until early term at least so you can revel in the discomfort too ;-)

Oh what a happy update! I keep sharing with my hubby your updates. And last night I was like "oh my gosh, she pretty much made the date she needed!" So reading this this morning makes my heart happy!

I love this update!!!!

It's not everyone's cup of tea, and I have never used them myself, but perhaps you could look into momma cloth? They are reusable fabric pads that would have no chemicals to irritate and they would breath to hopefully prevent any yeast problems.
