MIL has made tentative plans to take DS1 for a night next week. She's still afraid to have both boys for the day (forget about the night). I'm sort of looking forward to it, but it's not like I'll be child free anyway because LO will still be here. And I won't get to spend any alone time with DH because he will be at work anyway. But it's the thought that counts.
@LakeCountryGal I love it. That's what I did for DD's first birthday. We were only 2.5 hours away, but we always did the travelling. I said birthday at our house, and most of them came. Some were even on-time. Lol.
FFSC: it doesn't feel like Saturday. My DH's work schedule has been wonky the last few weeks due to Christmas and New Years. I only know the date by looking at my phone.
FFSC2: I'm a member of a Facebook group where the participants give items away for free, either to people that can't afford to buy it themselves, or just so that people don't buy something new for crazy amounts of money when there's a perfectly good used one available that would otherwise end up in landfill. I have no issues with that. My problem with it, is that people don't read recent posts before creating a new post. Example: 10am - person1 posts looking for table 10:20am - person2 posts they have a table to get rid of OR, they DO read the posts: 3pm - personA has item xyz to give away (gets 50+ people wanting it) 3:30pm - personB posts that because there was so much interest in personA's item xyz, they will get rid of their own, but doesn't offer it to anyone that replied to personA's post, they wait for people to reply to their own post. ***attention whores! All of them!!!***
@HighPeak As long as I have a good sharp peeler I will gladly peel a nice firm potato, but if the peeler/knife is dull or the potatoes are at all soft...I hate it.
OK, I have another confession, I love peeling potatoes lol, might seem weird, but I find it pretty relaxing....this is where my crazy is probably showing right now lol
I literally took so much skin off the back of my thumb once peeling potatoes!! It still terrifies me to the day to peel them!
