This cold has got to end sometime, right?

I have been wretchedly ill since Saturday (thanks for sharing DH). I've already made one trip to the ER for IV fluids due to dehydration, and I am on an every 6 hour Tylenol and Benadryl regimine. I was really hoping to wake up this morning feeling at least a little better, but nope.

This cold has got to end sometime, right? Ugh...

I've been asking myself that question for 2 months now and the answer so far has been no... Yours sounds way worse than mine though! I had the really hardcore headcold for about a week at the end of October, but have been struggling with left over congestion and coughing since then.

I hope you get over it soon! I know it's the worst not being able to take the "good" meds. I miss NyQuil...

Right? I had a moment of weakness last night where I asked DH "on a scale of normal to being born with flippers and a tail, how bad do you think just one dose of extra strength NyQuil would be for baby?"

I miss the good cold meds more than wine, soft cheese and lunch meats combined!

I have been sick since Saturday also, though not as severe as yours. I am sorry and hope you feel well.

I have been downing OJ, hot water with tea, and sleeping like there is no tomorrow. I had to leave work yesterday. :[

I've had this going on since late Friday night too left work sat with a high fever and I'm struggling to get any sleep I can't breath it seems to get worse at night time for me...and I really hope we all get better soon

I have the cold right now got it from my bf. Its been 3 days and I feel like nothing is working. I get belly aches like my baby hates it too and lately leg pains. I'm drinking more orange juice than water to get as much vitamin C as possible.

I was sick for two weeks for horrible vomiting and headaches and to top it off when I thought I was getting better I got an ear infection. I went to the er once and the er doc suggested to put a heating pad on my bed and to lay it. It helped a little bit. My primary doctor ended up prescribing me amoxicillin for the ear infection. I felt like I was going deaf and fluid was leaking from my ear. The first round wasn't as helpful as I wanted it to be. They wrote me a prescription for another round but I eventually kicked the sicknesses. I didn't need to fill the second prescription. It does go away. It sucks royally being sick on top of starting out being pregnant. I hope everyone gets better soon!

What does this actually do? I took unisom for the first time last night and slept pretty good except for waking up a fee times to pee and blow my nose because I couldn't breath but I'm starting to get desperate here I miss being able to take meds

I'm so sorry for your long-term cold! I've been ill since Sunday but it really got bad Tuesday. I'm finally off the asthma inhaler, but still taking Tylenol.

My ob recommended Afrin nasal spray for congestion and robitissin for everything else. Robitissin also has a pm and it worked wonders. The afrin too....it cleared me up. Only on day 3 of cold but praying to get better quickly. Of course SO and I have tickets to comedy show in ATlantic City and were supposed to Go away this weekend. I've gotta get it together or that's 350 bucks down the drain.

I went to the doctors with what I thought was continuous migraines and she examined me and said I had a bad case of sinusitis and prescribed me antibiotics. Still waiting for them to kick in. I've been suffering for over 2 weeks - the sympathy from my SO is starting to wear thin! I'm a pathetic ill person!

I really couldn't tell you how it works, but when I have a cough/blocked sinuses it always helps me

only seems to work for me if I'm in bed though. Hope you find relief sometime soon!

Due to my allergies kicking in pretty hardcore last month (and being the paranoid first time mom I am) I hardly took any meds and it quickly went into a sinus infection. Ugh! The coughing from that lasted another few weeks. I am just now feeling somewhat normal again now that I got the all-clear to take my normal allergy meds.

The only thing I can't take and what we kick this allergies ass is Nasonex. I use a saline spray every now and then but I don't like it. So I've just had to deal. =(

Hope the rest of you start feeling better, this is no fun for anybody!

I checked my list of meds I can take, and the only cough suppressant on there is robitussin. Which I'm allergic to. So I guess I'm just gonna keep coughing my face off.

@crikit83‌ if you call your ob they may give you some other options that are ok to take. I was given the ok on quite a few things, Vicks vapor rub was one of them. It helps some.

Ugh, this was me for the second half of December. I seem to be mostly over it by now, but I am still tired all of the time. What happened to the burst of energy I was supposed to get in second tri??
