(does not have to be pregnancy-related)

1) What's the best thing about your SO?

2) What's the least favorite thing about your SO?

  • 1) Best- He always thinks I'm beautiful, and tells me often. I could wake with a nasty pimple, no makeup, hair a mess, bad breath and the man wants to make out with me!

    2) Worst- His obsession with electronics. More of an annoyance than anything.
Are we married to the same man? Lol

DH is the sweetest guy. He tells me how beautiful I am all the time and is constantly checking on me, making sure I'm comfortable, whatever. Sometimes it's annoying (like when I am on the toilet for a long time and he checks on me. Leave me alone! I'm pooping!)

The annoying thing is that he spends all his money on new electronics, and spends so much time on his PS4. He never wants to go anywhere, but would rather stay home and play games. And it's hard to keep up on his toys. He is always buying/selling/trading phones or tablets or game consoles.

I know I am so lucky though, and would never trade him for anything. He is my favorite person in this whole world.
  • BEST - such a great man, truly. He's hysterical and he really is my best friend

WORST - incapable of standing up for us around his family

Best thing: sense of humor. He always makes everyone laugh. (Also, his southern charm.)

Worst thing: he can not stand up for us against his mom. We tried once and it turned out to be WWIII between me and my MIL.

    Ooh, nice topic!
BEST: His awesome sense of humor, his intellect, his humility, his ability to deal with difficulties in life, his incredible cooking, his lack of patience for people who mistreat others, in whatever way, and finally his support of my own goals, especially professional.

LEAST: He makes a huge (and hilarious) mess in the kitchen (but it's worth it for the outcome!) and stacks worn socks under a chair in the bedroom. He can also be very quiet if something is bothering him (he worries that it won't come out right), which can be frustrating; but he's gotten better at that over the years.
  • This is a good one....

Best: He takes great care of me before and during (and after, I'm sure) my pregnancy. He loves to cook and packs my lunch every day eliciting "awwww"s from my teaching partners.

Worst: I'm so sick of him asking me: "What's wrong?" multiple times a day.... I'm pregnant, OBVI!

Best: He is seriously the most caring and thoughtful man I've ever met. He can make me laugh at any given moment.

Worst: He is very indecisive and lacks confidence. So he questions everything he does. This comes from his childhood abd how his parents treated him. ...how they still treat him.

@FreddyisReady - He doesn't own a PS4 or any video game system, surprisingly. He is just more of a phone and tablet obsessed guy. We will be at an important event, and he is checking Facebook. It's like "Come on, dude...put it away for like 20 minutes! I double-dog dare ya!" ;)
  • Best: He is truly my perfect match! He's adorable, he has the same outlook on life/sense of humor/love of music and cartoons/etc as me, he is calm, smart, and generous, and he is the only one who can make me feel like things are going to be okay, when I feel like they really are not. Truly my best friend. I love him so much!

Worst: He takes it sooo personally when I am not in the mood. Like, honey please, I am pregnant and dying of exhaustion all the time. This desire to take a nap instead of have sex does not mean I am no longer attracted to you. It's tough sometimes. :(

    His huge heart

What's the least favorite thing about your SO? That he stresses so easily over things. And his ocd lol

THIS! Hubby is the same exact way, except it doesn't bother me. One day I was complaining and he said "would you rather me be home on the PS or in the streets?"; needless to say I never complained again.

Oh, I mean ANYWHERE! Lol. Dinner at my parents house: "do I have to go?" Camping for the weekend: "we need to make sure to get a spot that has wifi." Hawaii, I ask if he wants to go sit on the beach: "oh, go ahead babe. I'm going to stay in the condo."

It's not that annoying, it's kinda cute, but some days I roll my eyes harder than others! Luckily, I am a bit of a homebody too.
  • Best: No matter what the problem or situation is, his attitude is that we will figure it out and make it work. And usually he does make it work. He is calm and collected in the face of a problem.
Worst: He doesnt take care of himself like he should. He needs to lose weight for his health and because he is in the army national guard. He has two gym memberships and doesnt use either.
  • 1) What's the best thing about your SO? He is so thoughtful and loving. And always makes me feel like a million bucks.

    2) What's the least favorite thing about your SO? He is a pessimist. I have a positive outlook on most things and sometimes (a lot of times) his pessimism is enough to make me stabby. He also lets tiny annoyances get to him and make him cranky. He usually gets over it in 5 minutes but my thought process is if you can get over it THAT fast then why even get cranky in the first place.

  • Best: He is hard working and impresses me with his intelligence.  He is really into health and fitness.  He doesn't really care about whats "cool" or popular.  I enjoy that we are both in health care.  I also enjoy that we are both homebodies but enjoy traveling.  Neither of us is into being super social or nightlife.

Worst: I started typing out a few things and then started to feel bad sitting here and trying to pick him apart.  There are not so great qualities, but none that I care to get into :)

  • Best thing: he would go to the end of the earth to make sure that my girls and I are happy and taken care of. He doesn't have a selfish bone in his body. Worst: can be very OCD when it comes to getting things done which means he will ride my ass to do something NOW. I have issues with people telling me to do something so I generally will wait until he stops asking. Very mature lol.
I have the same problem. Definitely do NOT like to be told what to do. I could even have a plan for the day that involved cleaning the bedroom but the second I am asked to do it all bets are off. Bedroom is not getting cleaned. I was like that my entire childhood as well. It's a personality quirk that I recognize I have but have a hard time changing.

  • Best: He balances me perfectly.  I can be high strung sometimes and quick to react and he is my grounding force.  I've become a much calmer person since we've been together.

Worst:  He had a terrible memory.  Like, really horrible and it drives me nuts.  I repeat myself so often I start to think I'm going crazy. I used to bring him home photocopies suduko's out of the newspaper and make them do them to exercise his brain because I was seriously worried how bad things would get as he aged.  I also worry that his dad has early onset alzheimer's for various reasons so the memory thing gets to me.

  • Best- he is an amazing dad. Super dedicated and super loving and involved. He is 100% there for our kids.

Worst- he has raging ADD. I know this is technically a disabiltiy, but his disability has been hard for both of us and our relationship. It is exhausting and frustrating at best. At worst... Ugh.
  • 1. He has so many good qualities, but my favorite is that he makes a point to always have good communication in our relationship. It is incredible the difference to discuss vs argue. He will say "let's talk about this".

    2. His obsession with work. Sometimes he has a hard time shutting down from the office. It's like he is on another planet sometimes, once he is home for the evening.
  • I will preface with the fact that I am in a VERY negative place right now w DH.

Best: his family....my in laws are pretty freakin awesome 95% of the time.

Worst: he is selfish. I used to find his "kid at heart" personality sort of endearing since I am a big time nurturer, but now it is just plain old selfish.
  • 1) What's the best thing about your SO?
He always makes me laugh, no matter how mad I am at him. He has such a great attitude. He always knows how to make me smile! I can never stay mad at him. Plus he knows how to make me feel beautiful; that's always a bonus.

    2) What's the least favorite thing about your SO?
He never shuts cupboards, drawers or closets! I come home and it looks like we have been robbed! He has been working on getting better at that.

  • @queenrich‌ that is very funny. I can just picture it.

It's funny the little peccadillos that our DH's all have. Mine leaves his clothes anywhere but the hamper. Like you said, he's learning now that I'm in bed rest and he has to do the laundry :)

  • Best- my DH is a devoted husband and father. He loves to spend family time with DD and me.

Worst- He loves to talk, and talk, and talk! He talks to me from when he wakes up, on his work breaks, and until we go to bed. He talks about work, t.v. shows, politics, his x- box games, and things he wants to invent. I told him he should be a professor, so he can get paid to lecture!
  • Best; He is very giving , If I ask for something he usually gets it for me or my DS. (Who's not his son) When he's here I feel safe and loved. He's great with kids.

Worst; He is really bad at talking about important thing. He jokes, says things like he's gonna chase cars, or going fishing. Never a straight answer. He thinks it's funny. I hate it.
  • Best-puts me and the kids before himself, almost to a fault. And will do anything at all for us. Thus took a downgrade and pay cut at work just to keep his current job and insurance until baby comes and is working outside at night in this 20 degree snow and ice this week. (Oilfield related and due to things slowing way down they're firing lots of employees)

Worst- I feel like even my idea of "enough sex" is still not often enough for him. He's done tons better this pregnancy than my previous at understanding somedays u feel bad or hurt or just don't want to, but it still is tough when you feel like you'd like to do something for someone but just can't.
  • Best: He is sensitive to my needs, thinks I am beautiful and is over the moon about our first little one.

Worst: He doesn't clean our house except for some tidying here and there. I'd love it if he'd just clean the bathroom out of the blue.
