Anyone on their second baby??? I am, and I know every pregnancy is different but this little one is making me a mean mamma jamma! Lol anyone else???

Re: 2nd baby

  • I'm on my second baby. And I know what you mean. I'm sure I'm not the happiest pregnant woman around cause of my M/S. but that is getting much better after some unisom and vb6!

  • This is my 2nd as well and I am a lot more unhappy and uncomfortable this time around.
  • Third for me and I sometimes forget I'm pregnant. Huge difference from my second, when I was miserable.

    DD 12/20/99, DS 12/14/12, M/C 9/2014, M/C 1/2015

  • 2nd one here. Way more symptoms this time around.

^ This. I certainly had food aversions with the first but don't remember such constant m/s.
  • YES! I actually yelled at LO this morning and it made me stop and think, "whoa, these hormones are making me an asshole!"

The symptoms so far are much more pronounced with this one (or maybe I've forgotten, but it's only been 2 1/2 years) and especially this week I've been super moody.

I also said some things to MIL yesterday that I haven't had the balls to say before. Felt pretty good, actually. Thanks, hormones!

I am the exact opposit this time around. Almost no symptoms.

  • 2nd kidlet for us :)  I had very few symptoms with DS and it looks like this is shaping up to be pretty much the same experience (although I've probably jinxed myself now that I've said that).  I had a bite of hummus today that I usually love and it just didn't taste good :(  I also feel a little queasy today, but I can't decide if it's because I'm just so nervous about all my test results, or if it's hormones. ;)

    Me: 30   DH: 32
    TFAS since May 2013
8/14 - Bloodwork showed heterozygous MTHFR gene mutation and elevated AMH (but no cysts)
9/14 - HSG, Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy showed tubes clear, but found and removed Endometriosis, scar tissue and 2 small benign masses on my tubes.
11/14 - Daily ultrasounds confirmed that my follicles are not releasing the egg and every other day blood draws showed very low progesterone... DH's SA was near perfect
12/14 - moving onto meds!!! Hold up!!!  Surprise BFP after only taking the progesterone!  Now what do I do with all of the other meds we already paid for?!  Due at the end of August 2015 Beta#1- 4434 @ 22DPO  Beta#2 - 7335 @ 25DPO Beta #3 - 14429  @ 28DPO
  • This is my second and the main difference so far has been that I am noticeably more bloated this time around (I also started at a significantly lower weight than I did last time, so it might just be more noticeable), and I'm so mean/grumpy. This does not bode well for returning to work next week.
  • I had to yell at my baby too. To be honest I thought the same. My patience has been veeeeeery thin recently. My poor baby. I had to apologize to her and tell her why mom mom was so upset
  • I saw some of the ladies said more symptoms. I've been fairly lucky only hunger (extreme), sore boobs and bloating
  • I wish I could take care of my DD like before I was pregnant. I feel like a horrible mother not being able to play for hours with her or take her to the zoo. So, now, everytime she cries and feels like she needs attention I get up. I know she is at the end of her rope and dont want her to feel that.

Nausea 24/7 still around, dry heave, medicated with exhausting side effects. In bed all the time and emotional. Barely 7w4d.
  • Me too. 2nd child. 10 yes later. I'm older, fatter, sicker and, meaner. It's not been fun yet. I feel absolutely terrible.
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling! I am completely exhausted and am terrified my ms is coming back after a few days of less... So far, not really "enjoying" it. Praying for the first tri to go fast, but then I start panicking about the second one coming.... phew! Kids are scary, yo....

  • Omg!!! I am feeling like most of you ladies. A lot more impatient and moody this 2nd time around DD is probably thinking I'm being the most mean mommy in the world but I'm just so flipping tired and irritable.
  • Second one for me as well! I am super moody, very tired, nauseous all day but it's not as bad as my first. I have such little patience with my husband and son! I keep snapping but I feel it's legitimate when I'm snapping at my husband, lol. Very bloated as well. This was my first week and a half off in such a long time as work has been so crazy. I've been waiting for this time off and when I finally got here, I couldn't get off of the couch! I'm not a happy mama at the moment.
  • This is my 2nd pregnancy. I am super-moody and exhausted.
  • Oh yes. The symptoms are worse this time. My poor husband goes to work then has to help me at home with housework and taking care of our 3.5 year old. Most days I stay in my PJs and am lazy because the nausea even if I eat or not. :( can't wait for some relief.
  • Yep! So far I'm feeling very similar to how I did with my first with the exception of a little more nausea this time around. Definitely moody though.
  • I feel much more mean this time around and know I'm snapping at DH more which is not good since he's grumpy from not getting any from MS. I'm so tired and have terrible MS this time around.
  • I barely had nausea the first time around and now it's pretty much constant, I can't go 2 hours without eating and I'm exhausted. Thankfully my DS is being so understanding and patient with my inability to be as active (he doesn't know I'm pregnant yet, we will tell him at 13 weeks). I'm a ton more sensitive with my husband but he's being pretty good, just making sure I always explain myself if I'm upset and apologize if I'm acting like a lunatic.
  • With my first pregnancy I was a total bitch and super emotional. This time around I just have the acne of a teenager and some horrendous morning sickness. Ah the joys of pregnancy!
  • This time I'm pissy. And I forget I'm pregnant a lot, too. I had a lot of bleeding last time, and was queasy a lot. This time I'm just a bitch with sore breasts.
  • First pregnancy no morning sickness, no mood changes, no food cravings, wasn't tired. Very smooth. So far this one has been completely different, very moody, extremely tired, queasy every morning and boobs are killing me!
  • First pregnancy for me was a walk in the park, this one isn't hell by any means but man I'm bitchy and queasy.
  • I am too. I feel so bad that I'm so sick and tired and lose my cool so easily. I'll have to make it up to him when I feel better.

This pregnancy is identical to my first as far as symptoms and cravings go. Everything was much easier to manage without a toddler though!

  • I am expecting number two as well. I am having much fewer symptoms this time. But I'm only 6 weeks so I think there's still time probably...
Because you're mine, I walk the line....

  • The nausea is mild but really consistent. In the afternoon I get so tired I am napping or lounging the rest of the day. I can't get anything done. I haven't done laundry since November. And I have a cold.
  • Zero MS with my first and slammed with it this time around. Ugh.
