Cloth Diapering

Bleaching used dipes

I got my first used dipe in the mail today (Irwin!!!!)

How do you bleach your used diapers?
I've only bleached once, and it was the whole diaper load. I just put the bleach in the compartment during a normal wash routine.

Since it's only one diaper, I only want to bleach this one. Should I put it in with towels?

Re: Bleaching used dipes

  • I've either put them in with a load of undershirts/socks or just swished in a tiny bit of bleach diluted in a bucket of water. i let it sit for maybe 5 min, then rinsed and washed as normal with my other diapers.

  • Only if the towels are white.
When I get pre-owned diapers, I just throw them in with the dirties, and do a bleach wash when I wash them all.
Personally, I don't think the occasional bleach wash will harm the diapers I bought new.
