Internet Stangers Help

So ladies, I have called my doctors office which is closed. So I called the hospital and spoke to L&D... Let's just say the nurse was lesson then helpful. So I would like to ask you a couple questions... So the possibility of my water just gushing doesn seem high when I here the stories I have. I am not counting out but it seems more likely to have a slow leak or nothing at all till contractions. I have had no steady contractions, just cramps and not able to time them. I have however had a slow leak going since last night. When I talked to the L&D nurse she was like it could be disharge could be your water but since it wasn't a big gush of water not to worry. I know she is a nurse but I am just curious about others thoughts? FTM and just curious for other opinions I know you all aren't doctors but some have some experience with this process!

If I thought my water broke, whether it was a leak or a gush, I would go to the hospital (as my doctor has instructed me to do). Maybe it's just pee or other discharge, but L&D are the best people to determine that. You won't be the first or last person to be sent home if your water actually didn't break or you're not in labor.

Thank you! I am not there right now but I will see if I can find those strips someplace! I just am a worry wart about this stuff lol

I would go into L&D and have them test it.

Both times that my water has broken, it was NOT a gush. Just a trickle at first.
What I did, was put on clean panties and a pad, laid down for a bit, then stood back up.
I soaked through the pad and panties after a few minutes.
I was one of those that was afraid I had just peed myself, and did not want to go to L&D just to be told I lost bladder control lol.
But, if you're worried, just go on in and they will test if for you. Like pp said, you wouldn't be the first to go in and it not be your water.
