I had to call the on call ob at 1am last night for excruciating pain that had been building in my left boob for a few days. She said it was classic description of yeast in my breast. So she called in an oral med to the 24hr pharmacy (same thing you would get for vaginal yeast) it was a one time dose. My questions are regarding my dd she has no white spots in her mouth so the doc said to just keep an eye out. But if I have this doesn't dd have to have it too?? I'm worried about being treated and then getting it again if she has it. I will call her doc tomorrow but most things online saybaby should be treated at the same time as mom. Any info is greatly appreciated!!

My LO didn't have any symptoms of thrush either but we went ahead and used Gentin violet and cotton swabbed his mouth. Word of caution a little goes a very long way and it will stain. He never got thrush

My doc suspects I have thrush as well and told me just to tell the ped what I'm doing - I was prescribed an ointment. Wishing you well as this is seriously discouraging and painful!!

Thanks for the replys, I think I'm pretty much cleared up from the infection and still no signs of thrush on dd, fingers crossed!!
