Has anyone's insurance used Limerick for breast pumps? My company uses them and their "workplace lactation program".  I spoke with them earlier this week and it includes a hospital grade pump and then I just go online and order any supplies as needed and my insurance covers the pump/supplies at 100%. With DD I used the Medela PISA and it worked great. I having a hard time finding many reviews etc on the Limerick one. Anyone use it before or have experience with them?

IT'S A GIRL

Re: Limerick

  • I use it along with a medela at home. The pump works fine and has fewer little parts to clean. Their customer service is great. You can call them with any question. Extra parts must be ordered online and you can't find them in a store. Extra parts are also kind of pricey. It has a built in timer and automatically switches from the initital quick pump mode to the real pumping mode instead of having to remember to push the let down button. It *might* produce a little less milk, but it's hard to tell. On the whole, I like the pump and it was free, so why not?

  • I've been using this pump for the past 6 months and haven't had any issues! At first I thought the one size cups were odd, but I like them in comparison to the hard plastic cups used by other pumps. I'm guessing you might be an ey'er since the workplace lactation program is being promoted. If you are, I think you only pay the tax on the replacement parts. Overall, I've had a great experience with limerick. They've sent replacement parts timely, and have things set up to help me with shipping breast milk home when I go on a business trip in a few weeks.
