There is a really awkward transition from my dining area to the living room. How should I transition from one to the next in a way that won't look stupid?? This is a rental, and I only have the landlords ok to paint the dining area. Any ideas?

This is with wall paper down for the most part. The yellow was under the wallpaper.

I would try to get the landlord's permission to paint that entire wall.
